It's a funny thing when folks on the left decry "disinformation" because so many of them are fervent purveyors of it.
Our sister site Twitchy picked up on what has to be a truly ironic post from Rep.Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
The level of misinformation in all directions at this moment is incredibly high, especially on this platform.

If you see a claim, photo, or video that triggers a strong emotional reaction, take a moment to pause and check for veracity/confirmation from multiple sources.
AOC declared:

That's truly funny, as Meghan McCain was quick to point out, given the things that AOC has spread, like this dramatic pose for "emotional" effect.

Then there was this piece of nonsense about Jussie Smollett.
Of course AOC was a knee-jerk Jussie Smollett hoaxer. https://t.co/rIZTbHmXI7 pic.twitter.com/PVBJ0yQRLV

So, why is AOC saying this now? Why is she cautioning us on this, when there's been all kinds of misinformation Democrats have pushed for years? Funny that she's suddenly extra careful now, when a lot of those pictures and videos are exposing horrors against the Israeli people.
But what's funny is that her own Squad buddy, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was the perfect example of that disinformation she was decrying.
There was a picture that went viral that was being spread by people against Israel, claiming they'd been involved in a Palestinian "child genocide," with pictures of the dead children. Omar was one of the many spreading the photo by reposting it.
Ilhan Omar has reposted an image purported to be from Gaza but is actually a 2013 image of child victims of the Assad regime's Eastern Ghouta gas attack.

This is a sitting Congresswoman. I have absolutely no words. pic.twitter.com/To3qrHIGP3
The big problem with the picture? It was from 2013, and it was in Syria, an alleged Assad attack on civilians. It had nothing to do with Israel or the Palestinians. But when did the facts ever stop the Squad members from spreading bull?
What does that say about putting aside emotion and checking out the facts? Doesn't say much for the Squad -- when it helps the propaganda they want to push.
That followed this piece of disinformation from Omar, where she termed Israel's warning non-combatants to get out of the way of the incoming fire against Hamas "expulsion," and called being concerned about civilian consequences "ethnic cleansing."
The mass expulsion of over 1 million people in a day is ethnic cleansing.

The UN has already said this is “impossible” and will have “devastating humanitarian consequences.”
We have to stop ignoring the thousands of Palestinian lives lost and millions at stake! We must use all… https://t.co/dEwri2SOjS
Maybe rather than counseling us on what we should do, AOC should look in a mirror and tell her buddy to stop spreading the disinformation? But that would require self-reflection rather than just pushing propaganda, and I'm not sure AOC is capable of that. They're already in a bad position when their fellow squad member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) can't even condemn the beheading of babies when asked.
