Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) deserves all the mockery that people can dish out, given the things he's been spewing out on the matter of him pulling a fire alarm in a Capitol office building right before a crucial vote. Yet he keeps trying, spinning even more nonsense earlier on Monday, saying he just didn't understand what people were upset about.

Nothing beats a tutorial in blowing up the silly excuses of Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) about pulling the alarm because he thought it opened a door and was in a rush to get to a vote.

We saw a little bit of one from Rep. George Santos (R-NY), which you have to admit was pretty funny. 

But on Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) walked us through how it isn't at all difficult or confusing to get out of the building as Bowman claimed, even if the doors are closed for the weekend as they usually are—and as the members of Congress know. 

"Bowman needs to be arrested and prosecuted on the same charges being used to imprison J6ers," the tweet concludes.

MTG explained that nothing about the fire alarm would suggest that it would open the door and that those doors are locked on the weekends. As we've seen, they are then marked with "Emergency Exit Only" signs. So you're not supposed to go through them, even if you are an entitled socialist member of Congress. 

MTG then led people down the hall to the stairs to show you don't have to pull the fire alarm to get out of the building. She noted that's how they had to evacuate after the fire alarm. 

She also showed you could continue down the stairs to the tunnels or go out the side door that is never blocked off. I'm just going to guess that's the one that Bowman fled out of after he pulled the fire alarm. The ease with which she did it just puts paid to any claim of "confusion" by Bowman, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) weak defense of him on CNN on Sunday with Jake Tapper, and Bowman's silly "messaging guidance" that he put out for Democrats. If you listened to the "guidance," somehow it was all the Republicans' fault that he pulled the fire alarm. 

That takes a certain amount of gall. 

Greene also further explained the circumstances, saying that the Democrats made a motion to adjourn to try to delay the vote, and then, within minutes, Bowman pulled the fire alarm.

Then she made the point that Bowman didn't stick around as someone might have if it had been an accident to explain to the Capitol Police. Instead, he ran, and the police evacuated the building and had to search to make sure there wasn't a fire. Then law enforcement had to hunt him down to confront him. MTG said the building was evacuated for over an hour, and she said that the vote was held open for an hour as well. 

Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) appeared on Neil Cavuto's show on Fox and elaborated on the context, saying that Bowman pulled the fire alarm five minutes into the Democratic effort to slow-walk the vote. Smith claimed that the disruption did cause delays, and Democrats continued to employ slow-walking efforts. 

The tweet concludes, "That the disruption caused delays in getting to a quorum and that the slow-walking continued with Dems’ filing in one at a time to draw things out."

There may be some action from the Republicans, but we'll have to see if the Capitol Police will take things seriously or if being under the protective umbrella of the magical "D" saves Bowman.
