Jill Biden has an Ed.D. But that doesn’t translate to great intelligence or perception in her case.

She has a habit of stepping in it, just like her husband, as she proved when it came to the NCAA Championship for Women’s Basketball. She created a controversy when she seemed to amend the nature of just inviting the winner of the championship to the White House to include inviting the second-place team as well.

“I know we’ll have the champions come to the White House, we always do. So, we hope LSU will come,” she said. “But, you know, I’m going to tell Joe I think Iowa should come, too, because they played such a good game.”

Then, Jill Biden was accused by some on the left of “white privilege” because she wanted to invite Iowa. As my colleague Sister Toldjah explained:

The rationale behind it appears to stem from the backlash to Reese flashing the “you can’t see me” sign at Iowa star player Caitlin Clark at the end of the game, something Clark herself had done to a Louisville player during Iowa’s game against them in the Elite Eight.

Reese has taken criticism over her version of trash talk, and when asked about it, she’s said in so many words that the reason why she’s taking heat is because she’s black (she says Clark, who is white, was widely praised when she did it).

But the White House later backed off the invite to Iowa and on Friday, LSU and Angel Reese were honored at the White House. The team presented them with jerseys and Jill even hugged Angel Reese. One player did faint while there, I think because they had to stand on the risers for some time in close quarters.

Fortunately, she was okay. But maybe rather than have Joe drone on and on, they could just cut to the ceremony rather than having people passing out? Just a thought.

Given that it’s Joe and Jill Biden, you just knew that they couldn’t get through it without messing something up during the remarks.

After all the controversy over the invite and Angel Reese, you would think they could get her name right. But that was too much for Joe.

He also was desperately pandering with questionable figures.

And, as with every event, Biden somehow tries to make it about himself. In this case, his claim was that he “wasn’t a bad athlete.”

The funny thing is this might be one of the few things that he’s said that’s sort of true. He wasn’t a bad athlete, much better at football than anything he’s claiming to do now. Not anything to write home about, but not bad.

But despite Joe being Joe, I think the worst comment of the event has to go to Jill. Her way of speaking grates on my ears. But her claims also grated because of how tone-deaf they were.

She was talking about the benefit of Title IX. Yet, it’s her husband’s administration and Democrats who are supporting the destruction of Title IX when they support biological men competing against women. We’ve seen that point made by champion swimmer Riley Gaines when she testified to Congress. The Bidens recognized the LSU women on Friday, but they’re ignoring the women like Gaines who have had their legs cut out from under them. Indeed, not just ignoring, but supporting the leg-cutting.

The whole point of Title IX was to give women a fair shot and the Bidens are trying to take that away with the radical policies they propound. The Biden administration talks about women but refuses to even define what a woman is, as Biden’s SCOTUS nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, showed. How can you recognize women or their rights, if you can’t even define who they are?

So Jill can pander and talk about women, but the bottom line is that they’re hurting women, and they don’t seem to give a darn about it.
