We’ve seen some good decisions for the truth recently, in cases where the liberal media went after people because of politics.
One of the most notable was the verdict in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse should never have been charged with murder, and the media’s efforts to do him in were just shameful.
I’d call them malpractice, but malpractice is often thought of as a mistake. The media’s attack on Rittenhouse was a deliberate effort to paint him as something he wasn’t — a murderous white supremacist — to serve their political needs. Fortunately, the jury was able to look at the evidence and bring in the proper verdict of not guilty on all counts.
But if there’s anyone who has a boatload of potential legal actions he could take against the media, it’s Rittenhouse. Indeed, he could even go after Joe Biden who falsely painting him as a white supremacist in a campaign ad and tweet.
There is someone who has some idea of what Rittenhouse has been going through — that’s Nick Sandmann, the Covington High School student whom the media tried to destroy for the unpardonable sin of wearing a MAGA hat. They made up all kinds of lies against him including that he was somehow harassing a Native American man. They incited a firestorm against him, suggesting he was a racist and even saying he had a “punchable face.”
But Sandmann didn’t let them get away with it. He filed defamation actions against several media outlets. He’s already gotten settlements from both CNN and the Washington Post.
But now he’s got another one to hang on his belt. Sandmann, who is now 19, announced that he settled his $275 million suit against NBC.
At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement. The terms are confidential.

The settlement is confidential, so we don’t know exactly how much it’s for, but you have to think it’s for a good chunk of change. Sandmann recently mentioned that he had six lawsuits ongoing; he still has five out there and likely more settlements yet to come.
Sandmann has spoken with Rittenhouse and given him some insight into what he went through, which is likely invaluable advice. He also chastised leftist students for trying to stop Rittenhouse from going to Arizona State University.
Disgusting that people are trying to prevent Kyle Rittenhouse from entering college. But history does repeat itself, and @ACLUofKY came after me, so what did you expect?

He told Sean Hannity what it was like to have to deal with the media pitting half the country against him.
“It’s terrible, Sean — as a 17-year-old in Kyle’s case and mine 16, your mind is still developing,” he told host Sean Hannity. “So to deal with an overload of stress where you have this feeling that half of the country — hundreds of millions of people — hate you for something that you are innocent of, but how you are painted can do a lot to you mentally.”
“It takes a very strong will to be able to resist that and keep a level head,” he added. “I think that Kyle Rittenhouse is dealing with that right now.”
Sandmann recommended that Rittenhouse sue as he did, although he cautioned that could be involved and was a personal decision. If he does, he might have even more people to sue than did Sandmann — including Joe Biden, which would be quite the case.
