I reported earlier today on the announcement about the new COVID variant out of South Africa that immediately had some freaking out because it was supposedly “heavily mutated” and that the spike protein was “dramatically different.” That raised questions about whether immunity and the vaccines would be protective against it. There were also suggestions that it was “highly contagious among young people.” So, it seemed obvious they were gearing up to go crazy over this again.
Then we reported on Dr. Anthony Fauci claiming they needed more time and information to decide on whether they needed to be talking about travel bans, that they wouldn’t be implementing a travel ban yet.
“There is always the possibility of doing what the UK has done, namely block travel from South Africa and related countries,” Fauci said in a CNN interview.
“That’s certainly something you think about and get prepared to do. You’re prepared to do everything you need to protect the American public. But you want to make sure there’s a basis for doing that.”
Fauci added in that interview: “Obviously as soon as we find out more information we’ll make a decision as quickly as we possibly can.”
Then within hours of Fauci’s comments on television, the Biden Administration has now announced there would be a ban, which contradicted what Fauci had just said.
🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: the White House is restricting travel from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi — starting Monday — due to concerning new covid variant. UK & other European countries took same action today

Biden said he did it on the recommendation of Fauci to him earlier in the day — before Fauci’s appearance on CNN. Biden claimed he was doing it on the advice of Fauci, yet Fauci then appears on television and says they’re not going to do it yet?
So the rough timeline is:
– Fauci briefs Biden this morning
– Fauci says on TV that the WH needs more info before implementing South Africa travel ban
– Biden announces South Africa travel ban, citing Fauci's advice from this morningNot sure how that adds up https://t.co/RnQVY2XT56

Just who is running this clown show, when the left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing? And if Fauci really told Biden that and then went on CNN and said something so different, it shows once again how easily he lies.
However, even in announcing that there would be a ban, Biden said that they would not be implementing the ban today, that they would be waiting until Monday. Why? Cutting travel early on is one of the few things that actually could do something to cut the spread, assuming it isn’t all over the place, to begin with. Why would you wait? It makes no sense. It’s the one simple, logical thing you should do.
In addition to being completely chaotic in their response, the Biden team have to be eating their prior words, with what hypocrites they are.
Remember when President Donald Trump banned travel from China and Europe? Biden claimed that the Trump Administration was xenophobic and wasn’t an effective approach to slowing the virus.
A wall will not stop the coronavirus.
Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it.
This disease could impact every nation and any person on the planet — and we need a plan to combat it.

Oh, really? Then why are you doing this ban now? And banning from African nations surely sounds racist, doesn’t it?
Apparently, it’s bad when Trump did it, but now it’s good when Biden does it. Can we say anything more to show what a deceptive fraud Biden is and what a mess this administration truly is?

Before they lead us down the primrose path yet again on this variant, an important word from the Minister of Health in South Africa. He says there’s no evidence that it evades the current vaccines.

But trust the Democrats — they’re gearing up to go crazy with restrictions yet again.
