Months of emails from Dr. Anthony Fauci were released due to a FOIA request yesterday, and now they’re blowing up the internet with shocking revelations about what he knew and when he knew it.

We’re likely going to be covering the revelations for days, they’re that significant and hot. My colleague Scott Housell hit on a major one already where Dr. Peter Daszak, the EcoHealth Alliance president thanked Fauci for dismissing the Wuhan lab leak theory. So what is CNN saying about all this? Are they asking questions about why Fauci wasn’t being forthcoming with all this information?

Nope. Looks like the media is circling the wagons and the talking points have gone out. But this really takes some kind of nerve for CNN to put out.

Oh, my gosh, have they actually read any of the emails? This takes some kind of gall to try to push out, given the revelations.

Do they cover the questions about mask-wearing, the lab leak theory, and other problematic issues the emails reveal? No.

Their piece is basic spin. Fauci worked so hard, he was always polite and thanked people when they wrote to him. “I’m chronically fatigued, I don’t get a lot of sleep,” he said. “I’m constantly briefing, talking, doing things, hopefully getting the right cause out.” Oh, okay. So we’ll just forget about everything else. I don’t think so. This article is one big pile of cow excrement, trying to provide Fauci some cover.

But it’s a bit too late for that now.

They do say one thing which is going to be important as this all continues to blow up.

When a columnist emailed in late February asking whether Fauci had received orders to get approval before speaking publicly about the virus, Fauci said, “I have never been muzzled or told that I could not speak out publicly about anything during this administration,” according to emails published by BuzzFeed.

After a March 1 email from a psychologist expressing concern about whether Fauci was being censored, he responded, “I can assure you that I am not being censored.”

So he can’t claim that President Donald Trump tried to stop him from talking about anything. What he said and what he did is all on him.
