We’ve seen a lot of bad takes on the Columbus police shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant.
But one man who tried coming back at a cop with just such a bad take found himself getting owned, big time.
“Are y’all gonna kill me like Ma’Khia Bryant?”
OFFICER: “Are you gonna stab somebody like her?”pic.twitter.com/IQmwqQMWxe

The man was heckling a police officer who looks like part of the Metro Police Department in Washington, D.C. by the insignia. It looked like the police were involved in a car stop.
The man asked, “Are ya’ll gonna kill me like Ma’Khia Bryant?”
Without even a pause, the officer shot back, “Are you gonna stab somebody like her?”
Boom. What a mic drop that was.
The man was taken aback, then tried to scramble in recovery, making this strange argument that Ma’Khia Bryant called 911, “No. But she called y’all for help! F**k is you talking about? Get your goofy ass, I can’t, and you just said that on camera. This sh*t goin’ viral!”
First, it’s not even been established that Bryant was the one who called 911. It would appear from the original video that it was the girl in pink who called 911. The 911 caller said that a girl was trying to stab people. It was Bryant who had the knife. Now it’s possible that there was more than one 911 call. But even if Bryant had called 911, it wouldn’t mean that she had a free pass to stab the girl in pink. What a strange argument to make. The girl in the pink was not threatening Bryant in any way as Bryant charged at her, swinging the knife and pinning her on the car. Had the officer not shot at that moment, the girl in the pink might be dead, as she herself recognized.
Second, how funny is it that this guy thinks he’s got a viral moment on the cop when he’s really owning himself with this? It’s going viral, for sure, but not for the reason he thinks.
Whatever happened to the concept of being cooperative and not trying to bait the cop or get a “viral moment?” Sort of backfired on the heckler, didn’t it?
Let’s just hope that the Metro Police give this cop a medal and don’t discipline him for schooling this guy with a little reality. Nicely done, officer!
