Joe Biden has named his pick for the head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
It’s a name you may recall, Samantha Power, former ambassador to the UN during the Obama administration. Listen to this ridiculous spin about who she is, Power is “a world-renowned voice of conscience and moral clarity.” Try not to laugh when she mispronounces “ingenuity.”
Ambassador Samantha Power is a world-renowned voice of conscience and moral clarity—challenging and rallying the international community to stand up for the dignity and humanity of all people. As USAID Administrator, she'll be a powerful force for principled American engagement. pic.twitter.com/jwseGEsb8c

Biden’s picks all have such baggage, he has to craft propaganda video like this.
Can we say they’re trying to bring back Obama 2.0? All the reasons we disliked the Obama administration plus an added spin of Joe’s cognitive decline.
Samantha Power’s name featured prominently in the unmasking done against the Trump team for which there has never been adequate explanation given, even now, years later.
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell blasted the choice pointing to one of her prior failures.
You want the one who ignored the Syrian genocide to be in charge of the US Aid strategy? Yikes. https://t.co/MDJiBBinI9

Others also blasted her prior actions.
This is a good choice in the sense that as the head of USAID, an agency *ostensibly* devoted to assisting other countries, Samantha Power can work to repair the damage to all the countries she helped destroy the last time she was in government with her unhinged militarism: https://t.co/NNwxjJfsaw

Joe Biden has just announced that his pick to head USAID (which is a CIA cutout that creates regime change) is Samantha Power – AKA the woman who pushed for the US to bomb Libya into a failed state that now has open-air slave markets. She calls that "humanitarian intervention."

But one of the big concerns should be how the Obama Administration used USAID in the past and the fact that the nomination of Power indicates a likely reboot is coming of those troubling actions.
USAID is responsible for the distribution of a ton of money to foreign countries. There were a lot of accusations during the Obama Administration that USAID was used in foreign countries to help leftist political agendas in conservative countries including in Macedonia, Albania, Hungary as well as other countries in Africa and Latin America. Six Republican senators wrote to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in both February and March, 2017 to probe this question, particularly the issue of USAID money being given to Soros-related groups.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, one of the co-signers, even said foreign officials and political leaders have come to him with “reports of U.S. activity in their respective countries.”
He said in a statement: “This includes reports of diplomats playing political favorites, USAID funds supporting extreme and sometimes violent political activists, and the US Government working to marginalize the moderates and conservatives in leadership roles. … This sort of political favoritism from our missions around the world is unacceptable.”
While the Republicans brought up the issue, it’s not clear what was ever done about investigating the question although there certainly was a realignment generally in political views in the State Department.
So now with the proposal of Power, can we expect a reversion to this truly questionable practice? And perhaps this might be rather important for some of those six senators to raise that question again now that Power has been proposed?
