Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just released a statement about her health.
She announced that she has a recurrence of cancer, this time in her liver, but she states that she’s been having chemotherapy for it, that there has been significant reduction of the lesions and she feels that the treatment has so far been no new disease so she feels the treatment has thus far been successful. She says she will continue to serve. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that,” she said.

I wish her well in her recovery but I think she really needs to retire to be able to deal with her own health.
She’s hanging in there on the Court because she thinks her position on the court is important to Democrats and doubtless it is, but in the meantime one can’t imagine that’s helpful to her personal health.
She’s now had multiple bouts of cancer and other illnesses, with a lot in the past couple of years. She’s previously had colon, pancreatic and lung cancer, now it’s in the liver. She’s definitely a fighter.
We’re hearing about such news after she’s already had the recurrence for awhile I think until it can be framed in a more positive manner to make people feel better.
Good wishes poured in for her.
This woman is an inspirational fighter.
