The numbers aren’t officially in yet — because it’s Democrats, they apparently are still unable to run a caucus.
But Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has already been projected to be the blow-out winner, far exceeding Joe Biden in a distant second place.
That’s left some more moderate Democrats and Never Trump folks in a meltdown as to the looming reality that Sanders may have the nomination already sown up, so that their only real choices might be the socialist or President Donald Trump.
Here’s Bill Kristol, just lamenting that his new party is burning itself down.

‘Conservative in name only’ Jen Rubin:
Many NeverTrumpers will gladly vote for Bernie but I fear many college educ whites in suburbs will not, Sanders will lose, Sen. will stay R. Trump will have field day with oppo on Bernie. With our democracy in peril Dems are playing high risk with horrid ramifications

Can we expect the denial now, then the acceptance, then the inevitable Bulwark piece on how Bernie would be checked by Congress anyway so he wouldn’t be so bad?
Oops, looks like Jennifer Rubin might be ahead of Kristol on that already.
For those frightened of a Sanders presidency the most likely outcome will be nothing. His inability to work with his own party let alone the other side will likely result in paralysis. That is the GOOD news.

Such principled conservatives, those Never Trumpers of whom she speaks, they’d vote for a socialist rather than a man who’s governed more conservatively than at least the last two Republican presidents. Such is the utter wreck TDS makes of a person’s mind.
