With all the turmoil in the political world, sometimes it’s just great to see some unadulterated joy.

11 year old Sam Caruana’s joy over the fried chicken at Chick-Fil-A has now gone viral and is capturing people’s hearts.

Leanne Stuck of WGRZ showed up at the new Cheektowaga, New York Chick-Fil-A location on Wednesday night. People were there, standing out in the cold, because the restaurant promised free Chick-Fil-A for a year to the first 100 people in line.

It was there Stuck found Sam, standing in a Buffalo Bills hoodie in the cold with the others and she reported on how he was one of the lucky 100 to have secured the prize.

“Well, I’m here in the freezing cold getting free chicken sandwiches,” he said. “Because the food tastes great. I mean, it’s chicken, fried chicken, fried chicken. I like fried chicken!”

He instantly became a sensation and the video now has over 9 million views with the tweet gaining 140,000 likes.

And last night he went back to the Chick-Fil-A to get his first free chicken sandwich with Leanne Stuck. “I was amazed. I didn’t realize how viral it was going to go,” Sam said, according to WGRZ.
