Mother Jones came out today with a racist article, and led their home page with it today. The publication has come out with an attack on non-violent convicted felons participating in the political process in Florida, because they think it’ll hurt [mc_name name=’Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’R000595′ ].

Don’t take my word for it though, that this very concept is racist. It was just last month that Mother Jones said that any felon suppression in Florida had a racial element.

It’s true. Just last month when it suited them, Mother Jones declared that denying felons equal standing in politics was racist. This they said because they wanted to hit Jeb Bush: ‘In the beginning, felon disenfranchisement “was racial,”‘ they emphasized. They also called it racist when they thought it would help Obama to call felon disenfranchisement racist. But now they want to hit [mc_name name=’Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’R000595′ ], instead of Jeb Bush, so Mother Jones has decided this felon disenfranchisement is a good thing:

After completing his prison term, Fabretti went to work for a retirement planning group in northern Virginia and eventually moved to Florida. He declared his official residence in the state in February 2006, about three years after getting off probation, and he registered to vote as a Republican in Florida that same month. The Orange County, Florida, voter registration form requires applicants to swear that they’ve never been convicted of a felony or, if they have, that they’ve had their voting rights restored by the governor. Lying on the form is a third-degree felony that carries a possible five-year prison term. The Florida Commission on Offender Review has no record of Fabretti getting his voting rights restored in the state, nor does Virginia, where Fabretti had lived previously. Nevertheless, Florida records show he voted in elections in 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012.

So unless we’re using the double standard the left uses, Mother Jones is racist now. Funny how that works, eh?
