Yep, here we go again — gratefully so.
The lady geniuses of ABC's ridiculous show "The View" have done it again — this time making total fools out of themselves as they unintelligibly tried to defend males beating the bejesus out of females in women's sporting events.
Also once again, moderator Whoopi Goldberg drove the clown car.
The show was made even more special by guest Dylan Mulvaney — the man who thinks he's a woman — who was featured by Bud Light in an ill-advised ad campaign that ended up costing parent company InBev untold billions of dollars as the result of one of the most effective product boycotts in history.
I'll spare you the beginning of the nauseating segment and go straight to the part about men playing in women's sports, with Whoopi kicking off the festivities by asking Mulvaney:
I wanted to ask you because there's been all of this debate about whether transgender athletes should be able to compete. And last week California Governor Gavin Newsom said that he thinks that trans athlete competing in girls and women's sports was deeply unfair. Now, I want to hear what you think because I — I'll tell you what I think too.
Despite Gov. Hair Gel's multiple flip-flops, he finally got this one right — or at least pretended to do so.
Anyway, here's Mulvaney's response:
Whoopi, the last time I played a sport, I was 6 years old, and it was on a soccer team, but I assigned myself as the nurse so I sat with the Band-Aids. And so, in the worlds of "Wicked," I am not that girl. A dear friend of mine, Skyler, he is a trans athlete. His handle is pinkmannerate. [No clue.]
That's somebody I really look to for guidance. And I think that's what's tricky. Now stepping into this identity. I'm still like a “baby trans.” You know, I'm only three years in. Tomorrow is my anniversary.
The lady geniuses and their equally- genius audience eagerly applauded Mulvaney's "achievement."
Sure enough — and you had to know it was coming — Whoopi came in from the top rope, making absolutely zero sense the longer she spewed:
I think part of the problem that the trans community is facing, and it's the same problem that women face, is if you don't know anything about our bodies, you don't know how it works. So, when you come in and you say, ‘oh, you know, these men — these are men, you know — competing against women, you're assuming that the women are weak and just can't do anything except be here [in a mocking tone of voice].
Whoopi then drove the clown car straight into a ditch:
Have you seen female athletes? They know what they're doing! So, I'm not sure what's going on or why this is an issue! The same for me as when people say, oh, you know, I don't know how I feel about you. You do. God doesn't make mistakes.
My of my — where to begin in response to that moronic pablum? I'll try.
First, I can only speak for myself, but as a man, I'm pretty sure I know enough about women's bodies to know "how they work," which has zero to do with smaller, less strong women being unable to competitively compete with larger, stronger, men. And no, Whoopi that's not a sexist statement — it's a demonstrable fact.
Second, of course when women (and men, for that matter) "know what they're doing" when they reach a competitive level in sports. Unfortunately, that also makes zero difference when men beat women in female sports. Don't believe it? Two words: Riley Gaines.
Gaines, the former 12-time NCAA All-American swimmer turned political activist after unsuccessfully competing against so-called "transgender" swimmer Lia Thomas, "knew what she was doing" as much any swimmer who has entered a pool at her level.
Third, as for Whoopi's reference to God, it's above my theological pay grade to respond.
Whoopi ended with this gem:
And the challenge is [it's] not [just] to the trans people. It's [also] to the people who are not trans. That's what God is looking to see — how you treat people.
Got it, Whoopi. So do "non-trans" people include female athletes opposed to playing against males?
