So after taking most of the last few days off to hang out with family and friends, I ascended to the flight deck of Command Central this morning to get back after it. And what hit me right between the eyes the moment I fired up a search for my first article?
"Harry Potter" author and women's rights activist J.K. Rowling has told her fans on social media that there is no such thing as a transgender kid and that no child is born in the “wrong body.”
Needless to say, I jumped all over it.
Also, needless to say, the usual left-wing activists jumped all over Rowling. After engaging in a series of back-and-forth messages on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, the author was accused of perpetrating a “hateful focus on trans kids.”
Rowling also blasted adults who perpetrate the obscene myth (emphasis, mine).
There are no trans kids. No child is ‘born in the wrong body.' There are only adults like you, prepared to sacrifice the health of minors to bolster your belief in an ideology that will end up wreaking more harm than lobotomies and false memory syndrome combined.
Sadly —and sickeningly — Rowling was, of course, right.

The author of children's books is no stranger to the controversial topic. As RedState reported on December 7, Rowling perfectly summed up the bottom line of a New York Times article titled "U.S. Study on Puberty Blockers Goes Unpublished Because of Politics, Doctor Says."
Rowling responded from the perspective of the trans-activist crowd.
'We must not publish a study that says we're harming children because people who say we're harming children will use the study as evidence that we're harming children, which might make it difficult for us to continue harming children.'
Exactly. The mindset Rowling emulated in her tweet is the same mindset the left employs in its suppression and censorship of facts and data on COVID, illegal alien immigration, abortion, and on and on.

In another post, Rowling blamed some of society’s problems on a type of "cultural contamination" in which the left-wing media convinces (indoctrinates) children that they are indeed transgender.
When one X user said that parents are to blame for transgendering of kids, Rowling responded, writing:
Not always. Kids are watching TikTok videos of surgeons selling the idea that bodies can be modified like Lego. Schools affirm kids’ trans identities behind parents’ backs. A certain kids’ charity in the UK sent out breast binders to pubescent girls without parental consent.
Many parents are struggling to protect kids from a Zeitgeist telling them that anxieties about puberty, sexuality and growing up can be fixed by lifelong reliance on Big Pharma and by doctors who make Frankenstein look ethical.
Yet, as we've seen for years, moral adults who are concerned with barbaric trans procedures, including irreversible mutilation of children's bodies, including double mastectomies and castrations, are attacked by the left as "hateful," "transphobic," and other despicable descriptors too obscene to publish, here.

Finally, Rowling easily destroyed an attacker's "whataboutism" argument in a classic "shot and chaser" exchange:
"Lily":
Are you going to tackle the way women have breast augmentations, lip thickening and things like that? Even dying your hair and having your teeth straightened is a form of body modifying.
Rowling:
The moment any of those things causes infertility, the loss of the ability to orgasm and a lifetime's reliance on powerful hormones your body wasn't designed to cope with they'll become relevant to the discussion.
Boom. J.K. Rowling: trans activist: 0. Final score.

Rowling, like other public influencers who speak out against the left's various narratives, has not only faced harsh criticism and boycott threats from the far-left; she has also received death threats — from the tolerant party of diversity, equity, and inclusion, mind you.
Imagine that.
