Mandatory IRS DEI Training Includes Article From Trans Professor Who Called for 'Death of Whiteness'

According to information obtained and reviewed by legal watchdog Judicial Watch, the IRS has forced diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training on criminal investigators that featured material from a black transgender professor who called for the “death of whiteness” in an academic journal article.

The DEI training was part of a mandatory continuing education program at the IRS and began with a section by D-L Stewart titled “Cultural Inclusion Is About Justice.” Stewart has focused much of "their" academic work on “whiteness,” even calling on other academics to “commit to the death of whiteness.”

OK, so this raises our first question, which I ask both rhetorically and tongue-in-cheek. If cultural inclusion is about justice, how in the hell can it call for the death of an entire race?

Stewart's academic journal article, titled “‘Dead Honky’ — Against The Technologies of (White) Violence,” asked participants if they were adequately prepared to "accommodate different cultural expectations and practices."

Here's more, via Judicial Watch:

The drills focused on equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice and instructed agents from the specialized IRS Criminal Investigation (IRSCI) unit to question how much they know about different cultural norms and mores and challenged them with the following inquiries:

“Are you prepared adequately to accommodate different cultural expectations and practices?” and “Can you deliver cultural inclusion behaviorally?”

The course’s introduction, titled “Cultural Inclusion is About Justice,” was provided by a black transgender professor who asserts in an academic article that the high impact of "whiteness" oppresses trans college students.

A veteran investigator, whose identity could not be disclosed, told Judicial Watch:

They want us to consider people’s race. Criminals don’t discriminate. White-collar criminals are mostly what IRSCI goes after.

Spot on: Criminals don't discriminate. Otherwise, the investigator seemed a bit confused about the need for the training, but as Judicial Watch put it, "the IRSCI training is part of [the] expansive woke agenda" — as evidenced by the questions below.

Criminal investigators at the nation’s tax agency were taught about cross-cultural competence in a section that questioned their cultural behaviors, values, biases, preconceived notions, and personal limitations.

“Do you understand the worldview of your culturally different customers/colleagues without negative judgments?” one slide asks. “Can you develop relevant and sensitive intervention strategies and skills with your culturally different customers/colleagues?”

Keep in mind these are federal law enforcement agents investigating the perpetrators of serious crimes, not public relations, or human resources representatives.

It is difficult to understand how they benefit from this type of training, which also featured a “cultural perceptions” discussion that covered how Mexicans and Taiwanese describe people in the U.S. Answers include rushed, reserved, hard-headed, unemotional, independent, and self-indulgent.

This garbage is no more "training" than the indoctrination of school kids with racist Critical Race Theory.

Stewart wrote in the article's abstract:

In 1975, Saturday Night Live, a long-running sketch comedy television series, aired a sketch featuring Richard Pryor, a Black man, and Chevy Chase, a white man. During the sketch, several racial epithets were used for both Black people and white people, including the n-word. In this paper, I parallel the emotionalities displayed in that sketch to assert that as whiteness pretends to be innocent, flustered, and terrified, it nonetheless creates terror and violence.

Critical whiteness studies (CWS) in the field of higher education fails to account for these technologies of violence that characterize whiteness and which whiteness employs. I bring a Black consciousness lens that asserts a critical narrative grounded in my own and in the intellectual, cultural, and psychic experiences of Blackness.

From that space, I theorize technologies of (white) violence as enactments of: (1) malicious white terror; (2) rhetorical white innocence, mobilized through white contempt and white transmission; and, (3) pacifying white concession.

Ultimately, I call for CWS to take up an analysis of technologies of (white) violence in its interrogation of the ways that whiteness operates in postsecondary education, but more so to commit to realizing the death of whiteness, taking up Pryor’s verbal effigy “dead honky.”

Again, racist garbage.

The Bottom Line

The bitterness of extreme race-centric ideology — regardless of the race doing the attacking, or being under attack — is obsessive, divisive, and damaging. So why is the Internal Revenue Service subjecting criminal investigators to racist indoctrination? The question answers itself.
