The left's histrionic meltdown over Tucker Carlson's February 8 interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin is apparently still alive and well — at least on the set of ABC's "The View."
Yes, Whoopi Goldberg and her predictable sidekicks went off on Carlson something fierce, calling his interview with Putin "insane" for providing "a megaphone to one of America's biggest threats."
Whoopi kicked off the festivities:
Tucker Carlson gave a megaphone to one of America's biggest threats by posting his social media sit-down with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and even Putin trashed the interview. Yeah, he was on Russian state TV — he said he didn't get complete ‘satisfaction’ from Tucker who didn't ask the aggressive, sharp questions that he was expecting.
It appears that Putin didn't get the memo about Carlson carrying his water. As my colleague Levon Satamian reported on Wednesday, the Russian dictator called Carlson a "dangerous person."
Goldberg continued:
Now, Putin went on to say he wants President Biden to stay in power because Biden's more predictable. Please. You know, child. Both of them, it's too much. So, did Tucker play right into Putin's hands? I'm going to change my name! I thought of a great stripper name!
Yes, I know what you're thinking: nauseating as hell.
Back and forth went the geniuses:
Ana Navaro: "What?"
Sunny Hostin: "What, what?"
Sara Haines: "That came from Putin?"
Goldberg: "Yes!"
Navaro: "No, it came from Tucker."
No doubt as proud as punch of herself, Whoopi proudly — and ignorantly — proclaimed: "Tucker Putin!"
Did you just throw up in your mouth?
Goldberg continued: “Please welcome to the stage, Tucker Putin! OK, I'm sorry. Go ahead, please."
Navaro then launched into a bit of faux psychological analysis. And I know this is hard to believe, but she managed to work Donald Trump into the equation.
Look, I think obviously Putin here is using reverse psychology saying that he prefers Biden. We have all seen the relationship and [sic] that he has with Donald Trump. We've all seen Donald Trump falling all over himself for years and years, even before being president to kowtow to Putin and get in his good graces.
And I think that Putin, who’s very smart and understands American psychology — sometimes I think better than Americans — realizes that is if he says he prefers Trump, it'll be used against Trump who is the guy that he actually wants. There is no doubt that he doesn't want the guy who is 100 percent backing and supporting Ukraine, not Russia.
Nonsense. Of course, Putin would prefer a cognitively failing president who doesn't know what day it is half the time, where he is, or which world leaders are alive and which are dead.
And Sunny Hostin being Sunny Hostin, she couldn't resist tossing former "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace into the petty mix.
I also have a Chris Wallace quote. Chris Wallace slammed him calling him an “eager puppy.” He said: “Tucker Carlson showed up in Moscow this week to interview Vladimir Putin. It turned out to be anything but an interview. Putin droned on for two hours and seven minutes while Tucker sat there like an eager puppy."

Again, nonsense. While one might agree or disagree with Carlson's decision to interview Vladimir Putin, the former Fox News host was far from intimidated by the Russian dictator.
Again, nauseating as hell.
The Bottom Line
Whether one likes or agrees with Tucker Carlson or not — I have mixed emotions about the guy — the mere thought of a journalist doing journalism is verboten on the left, and that is a dangerous thing indeed.
