The best thing that can be said about MSNBC's "Morning Joe" is that its two-person clown show hosts, husband and wife Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, are more than willing to intentionally humiliate themselves publicly on a daily basis as in, second to none in the media.
In Friday's episode, Joe and Mika absurdly argued that Joe Biden's mental acuity is perfectly fine and that the real mentally incompetent guy on the presidential politics stage is... wait... for it... former President Donald Trump. I know; try to control your shock and amazement.
So how bad was it? At one point, Scarborough absurdly said.
I talked to a lot of people, over the past week or so. They don't, they don't, they're not thrilled about either side. But it's not like they're going, Biden's crazy and Trump is all there. It's just kind of the opposite.
Yo, Joe — mind sharing the political views of those "a lot of people" you talked to?
Anyway, here's how the whole silly thing began. In reference to Joe Biden's embarrassing press conference in Vietnam on Sunday — during which, Biden's staff cut off the rambling president mid-sentence and abruptly ended his news conference —Mika had the cojones to switch the topic to Trump.
"Donald Trump took to Truth Social to voice his frustration," she said, which hubby Joe, of course, seconded: "He was angry. Angry old man."
Mika continued:
Yeah, not about, yeah, no. It was about a recent poll that asked voters about what he called his age and mentality.
The former president wrote, "In a phony and probably rigged Wall Street Journal poll, coming out of nowhere to soften the mental incompetence blow that is so obvious with Crooked Joe Biden, they ask about my age and mentality. Where did that come from?"
Joe then babbled:
We could, we could play you about an hour [sic] worth of clips to show you where it came from.
[...]
Show you [Trump] trying to walk down the stage at West Point.
[...]
The fact you call that acing it shows just how wobbly things must be for you.
Mika then tore into Fox News — via Trump's Truth Social post:
And then he [Trump] added, "Now that the globalists at Fox and the Wall Street Journal have failed to push their third-tier candidate to success ... they do this. Well, I hereby challenge Rupert Murdoch and sons, Biden, WSJ heads to acuity tests!"
After suggesting a mental acuity test wouldn't go well for Trump, Scarborough launched into a predictable mini-fit against the former president.
Put this here. Because two things. First of all, I want you to talk about how unmoored Donald Trump is, continues to be, and now calling Rupert Murdoch and Fox News globalists.
But secondly, I went to all these links last night that said, Joe Biden, crazy as hell. Looks like, how, Joe Biden, Sleepy Joe. Joe this, Joe that.
Vietnam. You know, I figured he was going to be tired in Vietnam. That's not a shock. I said before he left, India, Vietnam, I'm not so sure.
So I looked at it, and, you know, at this point, they're just making "s" up. They're just making stuff up.
You know, he's tired! And then he goes, I'm going to bed. Again, it's like, now, no matter what the guy does, they're going to have these screaming headlines, saying that he's out of it and crazy, when it's just the opposite.
The dynamic duo then dragged out Al Sharpton, of all people, who didn't miss a beat as he parroted the nonsensical narrative. You'll have to watch the below video if you can stand it — I can't handle transcribing any more of the nonsense.
The Bottom Line
Regardless of which Republican candidate one supports — a conservative one, that is — to argue that Joe Biden is normal and Donald Trump's the one who's not "all there" is to intentionally humiliate yourself on national television over your never-ending obsession with the former president is... well... it's so Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
