In this episode of “Adam Schiff being Adam Schiff”…
In the wide, wild world of liberal hypocrisy, there’s nobody better at it than California Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff, whose plethora of smackdowns by facts and reality have become the stuff of legend.
Who can forget the total fool Shifty made out of himself, month after month, eyes bulging as he excitedly trotted out to waiting TV cameras, declaring “smoking gun” after “smoking gun,” all of which, he confidently told us, would once and for all prove beyond doubt Donald Trump did indeed collude with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election? Just one problem: every one of them turned out to be a big fat nothingburger.
As we reported in May, when the dust finally settled on “Russia collusion,” we learned it was Hillary Clinton herself behind the collusion hoax from the beginning. And where was Schiff? Full-metal crickets.
Remember how “shameless pathological liar” Schiff instantly dismissed the Hunter Biden email scandal, smugly blaming “Russian propaganda”? How’d that all turn out, Adam?
And remember how Schiff sounded the same alarms over Hillary’s unlawful use of a private server, on which she conducted official State Department business, and that she had 33,000 emails scrubbed with Bleachbit, a potent open-source disk space cleaner? Me, neither.
Adam Schiff is a dime-a-dozen political hack; he just craves the spotlight more than the others.
So it comes as no surprise this time, when Schiff declared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday he was confident that Attorney General Merrick Garland took every precaution and acted appropriately in the investigation prior to the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
As transcribed by Breitbart, host Jake Tapper kicked off the festivities:
You asked for a damage assessment and a classified briefing from the intelligence community last week regarding the raid on Mar-a-Lago, the search warrant on Mar-a-Lago. Have you heard back from the intelligence community? And do you have any concerns about the potential for this precedent, a search of a president’s house, to be abused?
Great question, don’t you think? Whether Schiff has yet received the damage assessment? Here’s Shifty’s response:
We haven’t received a damage assessment yet. I assume that’s being undertaken, and I have every expectation it will be shared with us. I look forward to that. We would also, as a committee, like to see what [sic] documents that were marked Top Secret SCI were in the president’s position at Mar-a-Lago.
This is very serious business. When documents have those markings, it generally indicates that the source of information is very sensitive and that the [if] documents itself [sic] were revealed, it could jeopardize that source. You would not only expose the information in the document, you would lose any future intelligence you might gain from the same source.
So very serious business, and we want to get to the bottom of it.
OK, fine, Adam. Whatever you say, dude.
And here’s his declaration of confidence in Garland, which he just admitted to Tapper he didn’t have a shred of evidence on which to base his declaration — except for his eternal dishonesty and blatant hypocrisy, that is.
In terms of the precedent, I’m confident Merrick Garland took every precaution, took every effort short of the search warrant to obtain those documents. If and when the public reporting is correct that Trump lawyers asserted in an affidavit that they had given all these documents up, and the Justice Department had good reason to believe that wasn’t true, then it justifies this means of getting the information, the execution of a search warrant.
Yes, it’s a very powerful precedent. At the same time, I’m confident that it was used appropriately given the circumstances.
Again, even without the Justice Department’s damage assessment report that Schiff claims he requested.
Adam Schiff: The shameless pathological liar who keeps on shamelessly pathologically lying.
