First, lemme just get this over with: Whatever happens to CNN’s once-shiny poster boy Chris Cuomo at this point won’t be enough. Not only did he help his big bro Andrew with his ever-worsening LuvGuv scandal; he looked his audience in the eye on numerous occasions and lied about doing so.
“The Most Trusted Name in News,” my butt, little bro.
As RedState reported on Monday, newly released documents — including transcripts, texts, and email — reveal a far greater level of direct involvement from the CNN anchor as he tried to help the embattled New York governor navigate an ever-worsening sex scandal that would bring down his governorship.
Yeah, “Fredo” lied, bigly — and he still is.
And as we reported earlier Tuesday, CNN’s little ankle-biter himself, Brian Stelter did what Brian Stelter always does: He made things worse and made himself look like an idiot every step of the way.
“For what it’s worth, when Chris Cuomo addressed his actions on the air back in August, he said “this will be my final word on it,” and he hasn’t addressed the matter on TV since.”

For what it’s worth, Brian? It’s not worth crap. Know why? Because new, devastating information disqualifies the high-and-mighty Mr. Cuomo’s August declaration.
As Business Insider reported on Monday, CNN has announced that the new revelations “deserve a thorough review and consideration,” which the network said it would conduct “over the next several days.” So, no, Brian, what Chris Cuomo said in August no longer means squat.
While Brian Stelter, Don Lemon, and other CNN on-air “talent” continue to fly wingman for their embattled colleague, other liberal media outlets are rushing to do what liberals always do when, like sharks, they smell blood in the water: Cut Cuomo off at the knees and throw him as far under the bus as they can, as quickly as possible. A beautiful sight to behold.
Rolling Stone on Monday just came out and said it: Chris Cuomo Caught Doing Something That Would Get Any Other Journalist Fired.
Rolling Stone editor-in-chief Noah Schachtman added, in a tweet:
“If this story is accurate, it describes a series of shocking ethical breaches — fireable offenses at any other news outlet.”
Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple tweeted that CNN should have conducted its own investigation.
“And this is why CNN should have conducted an internal investigation of all Chris Cuomo’s actions vis-a-vis his brother’s scandals. That should have happened months ago.”
MSNBC columnist Eric Michael Garcia echoed the above Rolling Stone headline.
“Just to be clear, if anyone else on CNN’s roster did this, they’d not only be fired but blacklisted from journalism, period.”
Imagine, for a nanosecond, the histrionics at CNN, 24×7, if we were talking about Fox News host Tucker Carlson instead of Chris Cuomo; that tells you all you need to know about the depth of CNN’s hypocrisy.

Even Keith Olberman the always-angry former MSNBC host said Cuomo needs to be shown the door.
“And now he has to be fired.”
Takes one to know one. Wait — was that a cheap shot? Oops.

My favorite blast — so far — was an op-ed dropped by Slate on Tuesday Morning. The headline says it all:
“It’s Time for CNN to Can Chris Cuomo for Being Completely Full of Crap.”
Finally, and who doesn’t respect everything that spews forth from this woman’s bitter lips, “The View” co-host Joy Behar said on Monday:
“I understand the inclination to help your brother […] but you don’t use your position in the media to help him. Whether he should be fired, that’s for [CNN president] Jeff Zucker to decide. There’s a lot in this story that doesn’t feel right, although I do appreciate the Cuomo family very much.”
Make sure you understand what’s going on with these people and other liberals in the media. None of them have had some kind of moral, professional, or ethical epiphany and all of a sudden come to the conclusion that Cuomo should turn off the lights — his CNN party is, it is growing increasingly clear, coming to an end.
Nope. Not even close.
What they are doing is desperately trying to distance themselves from past comments they’ve made about this whole thing, tweets they’ve tweeted, and anything else stupid they’ve done — all the way back to the first sexual allegation against Cuomo the elder. They want this thing to finally go away faster than a bag of Quarter Pounders with Cheese on Michael Moore’s dinner table.
Nothing less, nothing more.
