For those who’ve read my past articles on CNN, you know I’m fond of mocking the left-wing “news” outlet with its own self-declared motto — The Most Trusted Name in News™ — and that I mockingly include the trademark. Just to twist the knife.
If there has ever been a more discredited major “news” organization on the planet — from Jeff Zucker to Fredo Cuomo, Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, creepy Jeffrey Toobin, and beyond, I am unaware of who it was or when it happened. In other words, this clown car stands alone in the annals of (pretend) journalism.
In mid-June, as reported by Fox News at the time, China was accused — and accusation it more than deserved — of “running Chinese propaganda after boosting the country’s COVID vaccination rates” — provided by the Communist government’s National Health Mission, of course. Said one critic of CNN’s efforts: “China News Network is pumping out Chinese propaganda for the CCP.”
Now, as the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party approaches, as reported by Fox News on Wednesday, CNN is being blasted over its latest China swoon — gushing over the CCP’s anniversary and dictator Xi Jinping.
The Chinese Communist Party is about to turn 100 but Xi will be the real star.”
“Star”? At what? For doing what?
“It’s likely that large parts of the day’s events will focus on Xi, arguably the country’s most powerful leader since Mao, and his vision for the country,” CNN’s Ben Westcott wrote in the glowing article.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) was “confused.”
“Not sure what there is to celebrate. In the last 100 years, the CCP has murdered and stolen from millions of people. Xi is committing genocide in Xinjiang, annihilating One Country Two Systems in Hong Kong, and threatening war in Taiwan, to name a few of Xi’s crimes.”
The Uyghurs were unavailable for comment.

“Praising, or even normalizing the CCP is one of the most evil things that our media does regularly. It’s nothing short of evil to report ‘news’ this way,” one critic added, while another asked, “Why is an American news station celebrating the CCP and praising Xi?!”

Because… THIS… Is CNN… The Most Trusted Name in News™. [insert ROFL emoji]
Dinesh D’Souza asked the perfect question.
“Can this be distinguished in any way from the kind of propaganda the CCP itself might put out?”
I got this. It can’t. And this far from the first or even best example.

And Ben’s tweet was so good I incorporated it in my headline.
“This is Xi-N-N”
And again, made even funnier by the ridiculous slogan, “The Most Trusted Name in News” — which is made even more ridiculous by the fact that these clowns actually believe it.

The mocking and ridiculing went on and on, every bit of it well deserved. But here’s the thing:
Do you think CNN ever stops to think about how its miserably-failing self would be off the air in a heartbeat and its upper management imprisoned — if not executed — if it were a — ahem — “news organization” in China and trashed the Communists in Beijing even close to how it trashes conservatives in America, 24x7x365?
Not a chance. Know why?
Because CNN knows it will never suffer that fate in America. It knows it can exploit the ever-loving hell out of its Constitutionally-guaranteed freedom of the press rights. It knows clown car hood ornaments like Don Lemon, Fredo Cuomo, and Mr. Potato Head — AKA: Jeff Zucker’s Mini-Me, Brian Stelter — will never be dragged out of their homes in the middle of the night and thrown into the Chicoms’ brutal prison system where “not fun” things would happen to them.
Meanwhile, “Xi-N-N” has lost nearly 70 percent of its audience since Donald Trump left office, with smug-ass Jake Tapper leading the way — down 75 percent.
And that, my friends, is a beautiful thing.
