It has occurred to me on several occasions in the aftermath of the election — assuming Joe Biden is sworn in as president — that the poor wretches inflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome will next be stricken with a new form of PTSD — Post Trump Stress Disorder — leaving them incapable of coping with no longer having the Devil’s spawn to kick around.
24×7, that is.
It appears that Hollywood actor Kumail Nanjiani is a perfect candidate for PTSD 2.0.
In response to a tweet from another Trump-loathing lunatic, Nanjiani declared, “Traditional masculinity is a disease,” no doubt sending like-minded Hollywood Looney Tunes and other clowns of the same ilk into a state of super-woke delirium.

Nanjiani did not elaborate, no doubt believing that the pure simplicity of his super-woke observation was profoundly understood by those capable of reaching — like him — a state of Nirvana-like transcendentalism that only the super-woke can achieve.
As for the nimrod Nanjiani retweeted — FiveThirtyEight’s Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux — it doesn’t get any more “profound.”
“Why did so many men stick with Trump in 2020? The COVID-19 pandemic may have given him a way to reach more masculine men. Many of those men actually liked Trump’s ‘shrug it off approach.”
I cannot speak for “so many men,” but three paramount reasons I “stuck with Trump in 2020” immediately come to mind: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

In a pathetic screed on FiveThirtyEight, Wednesday, Thomas-DeVeaux blathered, in part:
“Given how unreliable the exit polls were this year, it will likely be a while before we know exactly how differently men and women voted in 2020. But a new survey from the American Enterprise Institute’s Survey Center on American Life offers some clues, indicating that once again, gender and sexism may have been a big dividing line, as was the case in 2016.
“That may seem surprising since this year’s contest pitted President Trump against another white man instead of a woman, much less the first woman to run for president on a major-party ticket. […] Overall, most Americans consistently disapproved of the way Trump handled the pandemic, but the AEI poll found one notable exception — men who identify as ‘completely masculine.’
“Fifty-two percent of men who identified as completely masculine on the survey agreed that the Trump administration has a strategy on COVID-19 — setting them apart from all other men and women. […] completely masculine men were […] more likely to believe that wearing a mask was more about being politically correct than about preventing the spread of COVID-19, and more likely to oppose a national mask mandate.
“Of course, […] men who identify as more masculine […] have been among his biggest fans from the beginning. […] These men may also be more likely to subscribe to a more traditional ideal of masculinity that echoes Trump’s “just shrug it off” attitude toward the pandemic. […] One analysis even found that men who were considered more sexist were more likely to report having contracted the virus.
“[…] Men who identify as completely masculine are disproportionately likely to be Republican, and as we’ve written before, Republicans have been consistently less likely to report feeling worried about the pandemic and to support public health restrictions on businesses and individuals. Those men may have actually appreciated Trump’s bravado in rejecting masks and repeatedly calling to reopen the economy over the objections of the public health community.”
Damn straight, babe. [sarc]
Joking aside, the Left still cannot wrap its “progressive” head around the reality that Donald Trump became president of the United States; it doesn’t compute in their leftist brains. As a result, they are still trying to reconcile it — still trying to rationalize it away, as if it never happened. Not really, not “legitimately,” anyway. And what better way to do that than by blaming it all on not just men; traditional masculine men. So convincing.
In closing, real man-hating Thomson-DeVeaux wrote:
“In other words, even though Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was not a winning electoral strategy overall, it wasn’t uniformly unpopular. In fact, COVID-19 might partially explain why Trump managed to hang onto so many male supporters.
“It’s also an important reminder that as Biden enters office with a very different vision for how to address the pandemic, these are the very Americans who are among the likeliest to resent — or even resist — his strategy for getting the coronavirus under control.
Put delicately, what a complete crock of crap. Biden’s “very different vision for how to address the pandemic” is to keep doing what the Trump administration has been doing, babe. [She’s not a babe.]
Today, I’m announcing key COVID-19 priorities for the first 100 days of my administration:
– Everyone wears a mask
– 100 million vaccinations
– Reopen the majority of schoolsWith these steps, we can change the course of the disease and change life in America for the better.

So let’s get back to Nanjiani and that “traditional masculinity is a disease” thing, in closing. Apparently, Mr. Super-Woke wasn’t quite as disgusted with male masculinity in 2019, while pimping his role in “Marvel’s Eternals.”

Of the role, Nanjiani said on Instagram:
“I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
Why Nanjiani was so “thirsty shirtless” that PornHub rewarded him with a 10-year subscription for posting “viral photos of his workout body!”

Isn’t it awesome that we have such wise sages among us — sages who make millions pretending to be pretend-characters — to show us the light?
As another pretend character — a wise little green fellow from Star Wars — might say of Kumail Nanjiani, “Become such a hypocrite you have, the fool inside of you I see.”
So do we, Kumail, so do we.
