In what feels like some karmic twist of fate, CBS News has confirmed that former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton will be attending Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20th. Hillary Clinton will share the national stage, with her previous opponent for the first time since losing to him in November. The media is going to lose it’s collective mind, after all the inaugural shaming they’ve been handing out. They’ve long forgotten the decades long friendship between President-elect Trump and the Clintons.

The announcement, which was first reported by New York magazine, comes after it was announced that former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush would attend the inauguration. Last month, former President Jimmy Carter, 92, announced that he would attend the inauguration.

Sources told New York magazine that the Clintons decided to attend out of a sense of duty and respect for the democratic process.

Mr. Trump won the Electoral College 306-232 while Clinton, the former first lady, senator and secretary of state, beat Mr. Trump in the popular vote by nearly 2.9 million votes.

Since the election, Clinton has been lying low except for events for the Children’s Defense Fund and a tribute to retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, near the end of last year. She has also run into some of her neighbors in the woods near her home in Chappaqua, New York.

It’s fairly normal for an former President to attend, it’s only because of Bill Clinton’s wife being Trump’s losing opponent that it adds a layer of sizzle to the story. I love that CBS News continues the myth of the “popular vote”, like that’s a real thing. It’s laughable the way the Media covers their own. It can’t be long until they revive “Selected, Not Elected” a rallying cry from the Bush years.

Hillary’s supporters in the Media will be watching her every move at inauguration, let’s hope she’s in better health than she was at the 9/11 ceremony. That’s an image I may never get out of my head. I suspect many voters feel the same.

After January 20th, I hope Hillary Clinton returns to the wilderness of suburban New York. She’s been forcing herself into the public spotlight for three decades. After all the media did to assist Donald Trump in the primaries, then to defeat him in the General. You know what they say about Karma….
