As a conservative, anti-feminist woman, there is nothing more satisfying, politically-speaking, than seeing one of your own stick it to the mainstream media. And Carly Fiorina’s new position as the Vice Presidential half of the Cruz ticket did just that.

The liberal media clearly can’t deal with this new addition to the Cruz team. Yes, it’s a female, but it’s a conservative female who can hold her own. That isn’t female empowerment to them. Remember, they support a candidate who has said that being a woman is a merit upon which you should partially base your vote of support for her. As reported last July by CNN:

“Clearly, I’m not asking people to vote for me simply because I’m a woman. I’m asking people to vote for me on the merits,” Clinton said.

Then she directly addressed gender, adding: “I think one of the merits is I am a woman. And I can bring those views and perspectives to the White House.”

To the Left, a female of the liberal persuasion who seeks the White House is a brave fighter, blazing that new trail or breaking that glass ceiling. If she’s a conservative, however, she’s seen as an anti-woman idiot who has no business taking on such a role. This is the absurdity of modern-day feminism. Conservative female achievement means nothing, because it doesn’t advance the liberal feminist cause. Conservative women doesn’t use gender as a crutch or merit, and to the Left, that sets feminism back even more.

I wasn’t a huge fan of McCain’s female VP pick, Sarah Palin. Any affinity I had for her is long gone. She has shown herself to be nothing but an attention-seeker (and Trump supporter) who has no business being on the national stage. Frankly, it seemed a large part of her draw centered around her looks. As we know, supporting anyone based on looks (like the many who supported Obama) is ludicrous. Carly Fiorina, on the other hand, has made a solid splash in GOP debates or when giving a speech at The Reagan Library. She stands out for substantive reasons, can hold her own, and comes across as knowledgeable, competent, and focused. The same could not and cannot be said for Palin.

Substance doesn’t interest the liberal media. It never has, but especially not when discussing a female politician who is part of a presidential ticket. Useless rag Rolling Stone, who doesn’t prize the truth all that much, is seething at Cruz’s selection. They show as much in their laughably-titled piece, Carly Fiorina: The Anti-Woman Woman Ted Cruz Doesn’t Need:

…if a quarter century of sexism and legislative scorn didn’t bother Republican voters, then what single thing does she change in the slightest?

No, it doesn’t bother us, because it doesn’t actually exist. The Patriarchy isn’t keeping all women in their kitchens, out of the workforce, with no say of their own. We’ve been able to vote since 1920. Made-up oppression, propelled by absolutely useless 2nd and 3rd wave feminism, is on liberal shoulders alone.

Honestly, I don’t know if Cruz choosing Fiorina will have much, if any, of an impact upon this election cycle. I would hope such a smart choice brings voters to his side, but I don’t know. If it doesn’t, the wave that it caused will remain. Choosing Carly showed that a substantive, conservative female doesn’t need to stand on gender, and doesn’t require praise from modern-day feminists in order to advance.
