During a ceremony on Monday on the South Lawn of the White House, President Trump praised the Super Bowl Champion Eagles and said he wanted to invite the Super Bowl 59 Champions to see the Oval Office.

“Having you at the White House is very, very special and important. We appreciate you being here,” Trump said. “And I think what we are going to do is, on occasion, when we have a really great championship team, we bring them over to the Oval Office after we are finished. And they get a chance to look at some incredible real estate.”

“And so we have a little present for each one of them, and it’s a terrific present,” he added. “And so we are going to do that for this team. And we will do that. We will walk down to the Oval Office. Who knows? One of them may soon be sitting in that seat. They become famous and we sure as hell know they are good athletes … and we will see what happens.”

Trump then talked about how close the Eagles came to football immortality with Super Bowl 57, only to suffer a heartbreaking loss by three points [to the Chiefs].

“This year the Eagles were determined to get it back and get it back they did,” the president said. “This season started off slow, but you soon caught fire with your great coach inspiring you. And you got the ball to your superstar running back [Saquon Barkley], who I met yesterday … He is a great young guy and incredible football player.”

At one point, the president talked about the team’s quarterback, Jalen Hurts, and his incredible historic season, despite the QB skipping the WH trip due to “scheduling conflicts.” He was joined by 13 other players, per an Eagles Nation post.

“He had a great season and a great game,” Trump said. “Finished with 32 touchdowns on the year, turning in one stellar performance after another. Terrific guy and terrific player.”

The team then presented Trump with a 47 Eagles jersey and helmet.

The White House posted pictures from the Eagles players' visit to the Oval Office with President Trump, including one of him with Barkley and Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni.

Barkley made headlines over the weekend when images surfaced of him with Trump. He later defended hitting the links with the president, putting those insane critics squarely in their place.

“Some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT,” Barkley wrote on X.. “Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand.”

“Just golfed with [Barack] Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump!” he added. "Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day.”
