I won't take up too much of your time, folks.
I just wanted to praise you all for sticking it out with us this week as we got our way through a very painful Democratic National Convention. Between the lies, hypocrisy, and unhinged yelling, it was a taxing time for us all. But I believe we have come out stronger for it.
And, as a result, we have made it to the other side, where college football has greeted us.
Today begins the college football season, with several "Week Zero" games on the schedule. ESPN's College Gameday is broadcasting from Ireland this morning, and it features the debut of Nick Saban, legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach, as part of its broadcast crew.
20 mins into GameDay and Saban is trolling FSU fans. He is going to be so fun to watch this year π pic.twitter.com/sgwCgmMke3

Alas, non-Bama SEC fans, we are not rid of this man yet. However, he's much more tolerable when he isn't coaching against us.

We have, what, 10 weeks until election day? I know a lot of people think that the country is doomed if the election doesn't go our way, but listen to me when I say this: No force on earth will stop college football, which will run well beyond 10 weeks. There are too many Americans who watch it and too many donors who are paying massive amounts to support programs.
The Constitution of the United States is far stronger than one president or even one party. But, just in case, the utter collapse of the country will be stalled by people supporting college athletes on the field every week.
Amen.
