Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell launched his 2020 re-election campaign today with a video touting his leadership in pushing two Supreme Court nominees through the confirmation process, getting the Trump Tax Cut package through the Senate – and preventing former President Barack Obama from filling the Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Antonin Scalia.

McConnell, who’s been mocked by unfunny-man Jon Stewart as resembling a turtle, was dubbed “Cocaine Mitch” by a West Virginia Senate candidate, Don Blankenship, in 2018. After Blankenship’s loss, McConnell and his supporters embraced the nickname.
McConnell’s team didn’t stop with the video. They changed the 404 page on his campaign website, Team Mitch, to show a donation link superimposed over a picture of Obama’s failed nominee, Merrick Garland, at the White House with Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
The copy states:
“Oops this page doesn’t exist. But just in case, go donate and make sure it doesn’t come back.”
