The Arquette family are a curious bunch. Less Hollywood royalty, but like potatoes or rice, they are kind of a staple of the Hollywood machine.

Which is probably why Oscar-winning actress Patricia Arquette was tapped for an endorsement of George Gascón for Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Now entering his first 100 Days and with a Recall effort looming, it appears Ms. Arquette has had a change of heart.

This tweet appeared earlier today:

I thought you were going to make sure people are safe. I’m not sure you are fully taking into account community safety with your decisions. I withdraw any support of you.

Arquette responded to a D.A. Gascón tweet where he announced he would be joining a San Francisco County misclassification lawsuit against the Cleaning App “Handy”. It appears our state is still intent on terrorizing the app companies and individuals who just want to work as they choose, rather than actually enforcing laws that already exist to deal with such things like misclassification. It is reflective of Gascón‘s focus on criminalizing the law-abiding and the victims, while allowing the criminals and criminal activity to flourish.

In light of Gascón’s Special Directives push, and his performance over the last 100 days, Arquette is getting praise for her bold move.

Arquette is not alone. The Recall George Gascón campaign filed their Notice of Intent with the County and the District Attorney’s office. The Recall campaign is backed by Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva as well as other current and former district attorneys and law enforcement personnel.
