The Left continues to gloat over the doxing and arrests of conservatives involved in the January 6 Capitol unrest.

The Huffington Post and Talking Points Memo report that Leo Brent Bozell IV, the son of L. Brent Bozell III has been charged with obstructing an official proceeding, disorderly conduct, and entering a restricted building.

While Bozell IV appears to have led an unassuming life up to this point, his father is the founder of the Media Research Center, Parents Television Council, and CNSNews.com, as well as a frequent commentator on Fox News and Newsmax. The Huffington Post outlines Bozell III’s lineage thusly:

He is himself the son of L. Brent Bozell Jr., who worked as a speechwriter for Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis.) and as the ghostwriter for Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater’s book “The Conscience of a Conservative.” Bozell Jr. was a key player in the creation of the mid-20th-century conservative movement, alongside National Review founder William F. Buckley, that ultimately took over the Republican Party. He later abandoned the United States, conservatism and democracy for Francisco Franco’s pro-Catholic, anti-communist dictatorship in Spain.

Bozell IV is also the grand nephew of William F. Buckley, Jr. the late conservative intellectual, conservative movement standard bearer, and founder of the National Review.

TPM delved into how Bozell IV was found:

The charges against Bozell were filed under seal on Thursday, unsealed on Friday and entered into the federal court system’s online database on Tuesday.

To his friends, according to the FBI, Buckley’s great nephew is known as “Zeeker Bozell,” and is a former girls basketball coach in Pennsylvania. That’s how one anonymous witness identified the man to federal law enforcement, alongside a tip the witness submitted showing Bozell posing for a photo with a student athlete and a basketball trophy.

The FBI affidavit references video footage from The New Yorker and other sources showing Bozell IV inside and outside the Capitol building on January 6, as well as part of a group of protestors at the Capitol during former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial.

Bozell III appeared on Fox Business’s The Evening Edit, and condemned the Capitol unrest:

“You can never countenance police being attacked. You cannot countenance our national capitol being breached like this. I think it is absolutely wrong,” Bozell told host Liz McDonald.

Bozell added “I am heartsick about that element that has been so destructive and has done so much damage to a very noble cause but the damage they have done to conservatives like me is profound.” He said every peaceful conservative protest, from Tea Party events to the annual March for Life, will be downplayed or forgotten next to this.

Media Matters was all over Bozell III’s appearance, exulting in the seemed contradiction.
