This new development was inevitable – but preventable. Pretty much the story of the Biden administration’s time in office.

The New York Post reports:

Up to 15,000 migrants — many of them from Central America, Venezuela and Cuba — may soon join a massive caravan that set off from southern Mexico toward the US border Monday, with its members calling on President Biden to repeal the Title 42 health policy by the time they reach the frontier.

That’s right, folks. Thousands of migrants are about to swarm the southern border in anticipation of the possibility that Uncle Joe will rescind Title 42 and let these folks into the country–never to be heard from again.

A Haitian migrant joining the caravan told Fox News he was making his way to the southern border because Biden promised to allow them to stay. “He promised the Haitian community he will help them,” he said. “He will recall Title 42. He will help us have real asylum.”

The caravan, which could become the largest to ever reach the southern border, started in Tapachula on the Mexico-Guatemala border on Monday. The individuals making the journey come from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.

Luis Villagran, the caravan’s organizer, told Fox:

“We consider we are around 9,500, it measures 51/2 km from the start to the end, people keep on joining, in the first police check there were approx 100-150 national guard, INM, state police and let us through freely.”

The caravan is expected to swell to over 15,000 people on the way to the border.

This development comes as the White House is fighting the courts to end Title 42, which allows the authorities to deport or turn away migrants from countries dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic without going through a lengthy legal process. The measure was employed under the Trump administration. A lawsuit filed by 24 states halted Biden’s attempt to end the policy, and it is currently being litigated in court. Critics rightly pointed out that lifting the measure would lead to a “wave of illegal migration and drug trafficking.”

Another Fox News report noted that the Mexican government has “offered work visas to migrants” to “allow them to travel freely through the country.” Villigran said Mexican officials agreed to start issuing 1,000 work visas per day to the migrants traveling in the caravan soon. This means that most of these individuals will be able to travel through Mexico to get to the southern border.

The United States has seen a tremendous number of migrants trying to gain entry into the country. “There were more than 234,000 encounters in April alone along the border, and Border Patrol officials have said that they are encountering large migrant groups – although the caravan would be one of the larger caravans encountered in recent years,” according to Fox News.

This is just the beginning.

When the White House announced that it would be putting an end to Title 42, they had to have known it would be seen as an invitation for migrants to make the trek to the border. Even Democrats slammed the administration for ending the policy without putting a workable plan into place to deal with the wave of migrants trying to get into the country.

Now, Biden has given the green light. He essentially told migrants that he would once again roll out the red carpet and allow them easy access. Now, these people are coming to the United States, and folks on the left are salivating at the thought of accusing anyone who complains about it of spewing Great Replacement Theory.

Biden and his merry band of open borders Democrats don’t seem to mind that this is killing them politically. It appears they are trying to import as many migrants – legally and illegally – as possible. Hopefully, if the GOP develops a spine, they can curtail the open borders agenda long enough for us to elect a sane president.
