As the debate over Critical Race Theory (CRT) in America’s classrooms continues to be fought, conservatives are mobilizing to ensure that students are not being indoctrinated into hard leftist ideology. I had a conversation with Jenny Beth Martin, honorary chairman of Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA), an organization that has been on the front lines of this battle.
Martin told me about some of the actions that TPPA is taking to push back against the leftist push to include elements of CRT and other forms of wokeism in the curriculum. Her organization, along with others, is developing tools for concerned parents to help them prevent their children from indoctrination.
During our conversation, Martin stated that people can fight back by focusing on their local politics – especially school boards. She suggested that by becoming more involved in the community and making their voices heard conservatives and others who oppose the woke theology being injected into students’ lessons, they can ensure that educators are doing what they are supposed to do: Prepare children for life instead of pushing them to become left-wing activists.
