This Is the Real Reason Why They Despised Rush Limbaugh

Well, you already saw how the left was jumping for joy when the news of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh passed away, right? So-called progressives on social media took the opportunity to lambast him for hurting their feelings for nearly 50 years, and their reaction demonstrated just how effective the conservative icon was. But what exactly motivated this outpouring of vile vitriol from high-profile leftists? Well, many indicated that their over-the-top hateful response was inspired by – you guessed it – Limbaugh’s supposed racism. I bet you didn’t see that coming, did you?

As with any other prominent individual who spent most of his time in front of a microphone, Limbaugh has made racially insensitive remarks, some of which he has apologized for. But let’s cut the crap, shall we?

Many in his position have made comments they have had to walk back or apologize for. But the reality is that the majority of the people grave dancing in response to Limbaugh’s death don’t care one iota about racism, and there is absolutely no reason to take them seriously on this.

Those who criticized Limbaugh for supposedly making racist remarks while remaining silent when the lily-white President of the United States intimated that minorities lack the intellectual capacity to use the internet are not serious people. To them, racism is not a societal ill to be fought, but an issue to be weaponized against their political opponents.

So, since we have established that Limbaugh’s supposed racism isn’t the real factor here, what is? The answer is rather simple: Limbaugh was the first person to figure out how to get the conservative message to the masses without having to deal with the leftist gatekeepers in the media.

The left has enjoyed a stranglehold on all of the most prominent establishment news outlets, turning them into activist media organizations employing thousands of activists to regurgitate progressive propaganda to the American public. But using radio, a medium that the left had not bothered to dominate, Limbaugh was able to subvert their hold on the means of communication and speak to Americans directly.

Through radio, he exposed the machinations of the Democratic Party and the left. His voice reached everyday rank-and-file Americans who were not on board with the growing influence of progressivism and gave them a sounding board. Indeed, he spoke for them, and with them.

But that’s not all.

Limbaugh’s innovative approach to talk radio inspired others to follow his lead. It did not take long to create an entire industry of conservative talk radio hosts like Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and plenty of others – the list goes on and on.

Fast forward to 2021, and we can easily see what he started. Conservatives are still finding ways to undercut the left’s hold on the media, but the movement has branched out from talk radio. Now, right-leaning thought leaders and influencers are expressing their ideas through podcasts, blogs, news sites, videos, and other methods. Indeed, it was the conservative movement’s proficiency at using these alternative mediums that moved a terrified left to start using censorship in an effort to diminish the proliferation of right-leaning thought to the rest of the country.

Love him or hate him, Limbaugh’s legacy cannot be discounted. He paved the way for many right-leaning Americans to have a voice and helped to transform the conservative movement that, for all its faults, has stood as a bulwark against those who wish to steer our nation further towards Marxism. If the so-called progressive left were being honest, they would acknowledge that this is the reason they detested Rush Limbaugh, nothing more, nothing less.
