Yet another individual has come forward alleging fraudulent activity surrounding the presidential election. A Detroit city employee filed an affidavit under penalty of perjury outlining a series of egregious examples of voter fraud allegedly perpetrated by officials attempting to ensure a Biden victory. 

Jesse Jacob, who has worked as an election worker for decades, said that she “directly observed” other workers coach voters to cast their votes for former Vice President Joe Biden. Jacob’s affidavit, which was posted on Twitter by GOP spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington, details the conduct that she witnessed while working for the city. His allegations were also read (in part) by Ronna McDaniel in a Monday press conference, as my colleague Jennifer Van Laar reported.

“I directly observed, on a daily basis, City of Detroit election workers and employees coaching and trying to coach voters to vote for Joe Biden and the Democrat Party,” Jacob alleges. “I witnessed these workers and employees encouraging voters to do a straight Democrat ballot.”

Jacob also claims that her supervisor instructed her “to adjust the mailing date of these absentee ballot packages to be dated earlier than they were actually sent. The supervisor was making announcements for all workers to engage in this practice.”

The affidavit states that Jacob was stationed at the Detroit election headquarters for most of September, but was transferred to a satellite office in October. She also alleges that her supervisor told her “not to ask for a driver’s license or any photo I.D. when a person was trying to vote. Jacobs also noted that a “large number of people” came to the satellite site to vote in-person, “but they had already applied for an absentee ballot.” 

She added, “These people were allowed to vote in-person and were not required to return the mailed absentee ballot or sign an affidavit that the voter lost the mailed absentee ballot.” 

Harrington also shared a series of other affidavits from other individuals alleging voter fraud. 

This is not the only example of shady conduct taking place in Michigan. The Washington Examiner reported that Trump’s team filed a lawsuit in the state alleging that a plaintiff who was “credentialed and trained as an election challenger,” was “excluded from the counting board during the absent voter ballot review process.” The Judge ruled against this lawsuit. 

The Michigan Republican Party is looking into Dominion Voting Systems after a software glitch in Antrim county caused 6,000 votes to be erroneously counted towards Biden rather than Tump. The error was corrected, but it has raised concerns that this could have happened elsewhere in the state. 

Currently, the former vice president is leading Trump by more than 146,000 votes. If Jacobs’ allegations are true, it is not yet certain how many votes could have been fraudulently cast, meaning that we don’t know if there are enough fraudulent votes to swing the state’s election to Trump. 

Either way, these allegations are quite atrocious if true, and those involved in the fraud should be punished accordingly. This seems to be happening in other areas of the country as well. A Pennsylvania mail carrier recently sent a sworn affidavit to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC), alleging that his supervisors instructed him to collect late ballots for the purpose of backdating them. 

If these alleged offenses are left unaddressed, it will only embolden these people to engage in more widespread voter fraud in other elections. The investigations into these situations may not impact the result of the presidential election, but perhaps they can ensure that this misconduct does not continue going forward.
