A female suspect is injured after she reportedly fired a gun at the ceiling at Dallas Love Field Airport and was then shot by law enforcement.
The woman was near a Southwest ticket counter when she fired several times shortly after 11 a.m. Monday morning, according to police. After being shot in the “lower extremities” by police, the suspect was taken to Parkland Hospital where her condition is unknown, Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia said.

Garcia said that the 37-year-old changed into a hoodie in the restroom after being dropped off at the airport at 10:59 a.m. According to Fox 4 Dallas, a witness said that the suspect shouted before she fired in the air.

There were no other injuries and her motive is unknown. Flights were temporarily halted.
