According to Wired, Republicans have six point lead over Democrats in latest Reuters generic poll — 40.7% to 34.5%:

The hill points out that the Republican’s nearly 6-point advantage over Democrats marked a 9-point swing from the previous week, when Democrats held a 3-point lead among registered voters.
The results are a stark contrast to previous polls, which showed Democrats with a 10-point lead as of late April.
Take it with a very large grain of salt. Generic polls have very little meaning till Labor Day.
The five-day average, which is a little more meaningful, has the Republicans up by about half a point — 38.1% to 37.7%. But it’s still the first time this year the Republicans have lead in the generic ballot.
