In what had to be one of the most interesting congressional hearings in quite a while, the House Oversight Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs met last Wednesday. There, government whistleblowers testified on the possible existence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life. UFOs were recently renamed “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAP, further adding to the intrigue surrounding the videos released so far. With the U.S. government publicly acknowledging their confusion as to what the objects are and releasing videos of aerial encounters, and Congress holding hearings, it’s time to ask, “What’s going on?”
There have been over 650 UAP sightings over the years by military and commercial pilots, and some of the videos being posted by the U.S. military are difficult, if not impossible, to explain away. The craft in the videos are operating in manners not yet achieved by human aviation. Current aircraft are unable to approach the maneuvering that we see in some of these videos, and the human body could not survive the “g forces” these maneuvers would create.
In one of the first documented encounters between our military and a UAP, Navy fighter pilot David Fravor responded to a request to investigate an unusual object operating off the coast of California on November 14, 2002. There, he and three other naval aviators observed the now famous “Tic Tac” UAP and its ability to climb and descend thousands of feet in seconds, from 80,000 feet to 20,000, and then hover over the ocean. Fravor testified to those facts, and 19 years later, exactly what he saw remains unsolved.
Another whistleblower spun incredible tales in his testimony. Former Air Force Major David Grusch claimed that the sightings are valid. He also testified that the U.S. government actually has the crashed hulls of UAPs and is attempting to reverse-engineer them. He also went on to claim that not only do we have their aircraft, but we also have their dead pilots, or “non-human biological matter.”
If true, this is truly a pivotal moment for mankind. Only in today’s chaotic, news cycle-based world would we not be somewhat curious. Are we being visited? Are these phenomena advanced technology from other nations (China) in the form of drones? Or are these, in some cases, atmospheric anomalies?
I don’t know. After flying militarily and commercially and visiting 69 countries over my 35 years, I can honestly say that I never observed anything in the air I couldn’t explain. In my two years working in the Clinton White House, I had the highest security clearance one could have, and I never saw anything intelligence-wise to indicate any was visiting Earth. Humorously, Clinton did ask me once if we had any captured aliens. I told him I didn’t think so and said, “We should go to Area 51 and check it out!” He smiled, and we never went.
It’s incredibly intriguing to think about the possibilities. All joking aside, this would change our lives forever across all fronts. Are we ready for that?
