Watch: Nancy Mace Angers Trans Person Who Undergoes Weird Identity Shift Mid-Conversation

Nancy Mace sure does attract the crazies, and her recent interaction is definitely proof of that.

The South Carolina Congresswoman was at an event on Monday night when she was approached by a transgender person. His voice is high and feminine and was even using flowing movements. He wore a long orange dress and wide-brimmed hat, and appeared to be doing everything he could to appear as feminine as possible.

The person approached Mace after a speech and asked, "does your husband call you babe?" He asked Mace to apologize for using the term, saying it's "derogatory," to which Mace said she would not. Mace then asked her own question.

"Is 'tranny' derogatory?" asked Mace.

All at once, all the femininity seemed to evaporate, and the actual male emerged. Suddenly the movements weren't so elegant, and the voice went baritone.

"Well, yeah!" said the man in the dress. "Of course it f***ing is!"

Mace looked the man in the eye and calmly repeated the word more. As she did, the man picked up the plant sitting next to Mace and collected his purse.

Watch the video for yourself, as the moment the man drops all pretense of being a woman is actually kind of hysterical.

People are asking why the man picked up the plant, but Mace had an answer for a someone who asked on X.

"We all know why…. Thankfully security came in and stopped 'it,'" she responded.

The suggestion — and likely intent — is that the trans person was going to throw the plant at Mace, and likely would have if her security consisting of six armed guards hadn't stepped in immediately.

Mace has been something of a target for the trans community due to her outspoken stance against the transgender invasion of women's spaces. She introduced legislation that bans biological men from women's bathrooms called the "Protecting Women's Private Spaces Act" which would "prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes."

This would result in severe backlash from the transgender community, which included being physically assaulted by a pro-trans man while at the Capitol.

As such, it's probably great that Mace had her security detail on hand to stop what could have been another assault.

Mace told Sean Hannity on Monday night that this is hardly the first time she's had a confrontation.

As Mace points out, a man in an Ulta store confronted her as well while she was out shopping. According to the Daily Mail, the exchange between her and the man got very heated:

He inched a bit closer to her and said: 'You think everything about me has to do with gay marriage?'

Later in the exchange, Mace shouted 'F*** you!,' as he came back and replied: 'F*** me? And you're gonna be voted out so fast this year. I can't wait for you to f***ing go into the dirt.'

Mace's positions are commonly shared throughout the U.S., but because she has become an outspoken person who actually has the power to change things, she's become something of a lightning rod for much of the LGBT activist community's hate. Violence is, sadly, a very real possibility for Mace as a result, and that's not how things should be.

Mace's voting record shows she has nothing against the gay and lesbian community, she just doesn't want men in women's spaces. Apparently, that's enough to qualify her for harassment and violence.

That's not how it should be, but that's the price of standing up against the cause célèbre for the left.
