The left can't quit Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and each time they go after him, they only end up looking worse. 

The continued drama between Hegseth and the Democrat Party and its legacy media is so ridiculous that it borders on amusing, but apparently, it's devolved into attempting to meme on Hegseth. 

The Democrat Party sent out a tweet on Sunday that simply read "Pete Hegseth needs to go." 

Compelling, insightful, and very convincing. 

Hegseth didn't take it lying down, however. He fired back by telling the Democrat Party what it is while simultaneously spiking the football on just how much power they have, which to the Democrat Party, is the ultimate slap in the face. 

"Your agenda is illegals, trans & DEI — all of which are no longer allowed @ DoD," Hegseth fired back. 

That should've been the end of it, but the Democrats responded again, this time with a meme that reads "Pete's POV," while featuring an image of an iPhone screen being blurred from what I can assume is them accusing Hegseth of being drunk.

Where was this energy when Nancy Pelosi was doing... pretty much anything? 

This tweet comes off the back of an attempt by the left to divide and conquer Trump's Cabinet, and resurrect the dead Signal Chat story. 

As my colleague Bob Hoge reported on Monday, Hegseth had come down on the New York Times for attempting to corner him on allegedly sharing details regarding military operations with people, including his wife, brother, and personal lawyer. When confronted about it during the White House egg roll, Hegseth noted that he's not at all surprised to see a hit piece come out after leakers had been fired. 

He then made it clear that this is the same media that lied about things like the Russia hoax and never walked it back: 

"What a big surprise that a few leakers get fired and suddenly a bunch of hit pieces come out from the same media that peddled the Russia hoax, won't give back their Pulitzers, they got Pulitzers for a bunch of lies ... This is what the media does. They take anonymous sources from disgruntled former employees and then they try to slash and burn people and ruin their reputations."

Moreover, all the bluster around Hegseth isn't causing President Donald Trump to have any doubt in him. As my colleague Chase Jennings noted in an article on Monday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reaffirmed that Trump has absolutely no plans to terminate Hegseth's position as Secretary of Defense. 

Regardless, the Democrats seem to be getting petty. The main offensive strategy against Hegseth during his confirmation was to accuse him of being a drunk and a womanizer, neither of which held water. 

But if it seems like things are getting childish over at the Democrats' social media pages, it's because they are, and I mean that literally. 

Right after the election, the Democrat Party decided to lean on the "expertise" of the youth, namely that of the Kamala HQ social media team, which ended up embarrassing Kamala Harris more than it helped her. The team is full of young people, so if it seems like the Democrats' social media pages are looking a bit more childish, it's because it's being run by people who are closer to being children both in body and mind.
