Jacob Couch and his wife Kristen were mourning the loss of their stillborn son, heading back to their home state of Alabama from California. They were hoping a change of scenery would help them grieve, but it didn't.
Jacob was sitting on a bus stop bench in Tucson, gathering he and his wife's things, when Daniel Michael, a 25-year-old black man, came up behind him and swung a hatchet at his neck. Michael cut an artery in Jacob's neck before simply walking away, leaving Kristen alone to try desperately to get help for her husband. He was rushed to Banner University Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. He's currently on life support, fighting for his life.
The prospects aren't good, either. Doctors diagnosed him with an anoxic brain injury due to a lack of oxygen to the brain for too long. He's not expected to survive.
If it wasn't for X, I'm not sure if I would've heard this story. The media isn't exactly talking too much about it. They seem more concerned about the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a suspected MS-13 gang leader. According to Democrats, he was wrongly deported and every microphone the media has is being shoved into the face of grandstanding, virtue signaling politicians like Maryland Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen.
(Democrats Have Lost Their Minds Over Deported Salvadoran National, and Things Just Got Much Worse)
Van Hollen is making a big show of flying down to El Salvador, where Garcia is from, and trying to get him back to America. Garcia is an illegal immigrant who had a hold placed on his deportation status, and Democrats have been trying to hammer that for the better part of a month now. They feign care, but this is really just a desperate play to find a gap in President Donald Trump's armor. Their thinking is that if they can get him on this, then maybe they can weaken his public image and get him on more, eroding his popularity and possibly gaining power during the midterms.
It's naked politics, but thanks to the legacy media, too many people are convinced the emperor is wearing clothes.
MS-13 is one of the most violent criminal gangs in America today. They traffic kids, women, drugs, and murder people with little to no care who it is. Democrats seem to be showing more care for someone who was possibly a leader in that gang than the Americans who were victimized by the gang he possibly worked for.
Van Hollen willing to go down there personally to retrieve him is strange energy. Where was it when Americans were being held hostage in Gaza? Where was it for the Americans locked up in Russia?
Bonchie asked the same questions in his own article:
Where was this outrage when 13 American service members were murdered due to the Biden administration's rank incompetence and politicization of the Afghanistan withdrawal? Where was this outrage when Laken Riley was murdered in cold blood? But let an illegal immigrant be deported to his country of origin, and they are ready to invade El Salvador over it, and I'm not sure I mean that figuratively.
The media's obsession is such that there is a clear gap in concern for what should really be concerning people.
Alleged killer, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, is currently living large after he murdered Austin Metcalf thanks to a GoFundMe that gave he and his family so much money that they could afford to rent a $900,000 home inside a high-end gated community and bought a new car. He was released from jail on a reduced $250,000 bond.

Is the left showing any outrage about this? Is the media breathlessly commenting about the injustice of it all? How someone is literally rewarded for murder?
Nope. Aside from reports here and there, there isn't really outrage. There are no Democrats standing up at podiums to point out a sickness has taken hold of this country or encouraging the violence to stop.
It's as if a sickness of the heart and mind has consumed them. They're furious with America right now. It elected someone they truly hate, and is pulling the country in a direction away from their grip. Their power is diminishing, and they are very, very mad about it. So mad, in fact, that they're willing to do things that blatantly insult Americans.
Someone can literally try to decapitate you for no reason, kill your children for no good reason, and they will shrug. All that's important to them is getting their power back. They will exploit any potential mistake made by the Trump administration. Their hyper-focused on it, and if you're suffering because of their hyperbolic grandstanding, or dying because their constant hate-preaching caused someone to become radically hateful themselves, then I guess them's the breaks.
It's your fault for rejecting their hold on you.
There is a serious evil permeating parts of our society right now, and it's openly hostile, and willingly violent. I want to say that we can heal this, but it requires one side to want to heal, and as of right now, those who want violence outweigh those who don't, at least in seats of power and influence.
