Californians Are Getting a Proper Lesson on the Difference Between Politicians and Servants

I was watching the turnout for the vote on investigating migrant rape gangs in the UK and how the Labor Party voted overwhelmingly against these investigations. The reasoning, I heard, was that the Labor Party was filled to the brim with upper class elitists, and that the women who are suffering from these migrant rape gangs are the literal peasantry.

Stick with me. This is going to apply to California.

As it was explained, the American equivalent here would've been poorer Americans out of Appalachia, and as such, the elite class just does not care that it's happening because they're wholly unaffected by it.

As I was watching the news unfold about LA being consumed by an out-of-control wildfire, that story popped back into my head. I literally watched as California Governor Gavin Newsom make every excuse under the sun as to why LA and the surrounding area going up in flames wasn't his fault. He even tried to turn the attention on Trump.

As my colleague Bob Hoge wrote in a recent article, the elite of California seem more interested in "Trump-proofing" the state more than they are fire-proofing it:

Essayli called on Newsom to enact policies like controlled burns and undergrounding of power lines... The Legislature returned last week for a special session to shore up legal resources for potential litigation with the incoming president.

You can currently see the ridiculous incompetence from California's Democrat leadership plastered all over the front page of RedState right now. You're spoiled for choice in terms of stories to pick, and each of them gives you a window into just how inept and corrupt they are. As I wrote earlier on Thursday, Joe Rogan was discussing how a firefighter told him that the right wind and a fire at the right time would cause acres of land around LA to burn and there would be nothing they could do about it.

This means they've been sitting on this information for ages, and they did nothing.

What were the elitists in California doing this entire time?

Seeing to their own careers, wealth, and power. Newsom was busy focusing on soft-on-crime policies, tried to pass anti-parody laws, forcing an increase in gas prices, and worrying more about his 2028 chances for POTUS, which are even now going up in flames

This is because Newsom forgot — or likely never understood — what he is. He saw himself, not a servant of the people, but a king with the abiltiy to rule over the people as he pleases. You saw this from him quite a bit during the pandemic when he had rules for thee, but not for he. While you were locked down, he was having dinner at fancy restaurants.

I think it's funny that Newsom prioritized "Trump-proofing" his state enough to ignore the clear danger of out-of-control wildfires, because it's Trump that's actually demonstrating servitude.

Trump's goals are to reduce government waste, make it cheaper to operate, reduce the tax burden on the people, reduce their problems, and fix their economy. The man didn't have to do this. He was wealthy, well-loved, and didn't need the headache, but decided to take on the burden of fixing problems people like Newsom made because he is, at heart, a servant of the people. He doesn't look or sound like one, but he is.

He is just like Rand Paul is, as he worked tirelessly to get to the bottom of the corruption underlying the pandemic. Just like Elon Musk is, who isn't just trying to join Trump in helping to reduce the scope of government, but also provides help to impoverished and devastated areas with Starlink. Musk's quest to go to Mars is even a quest to advance humanity and extend its existence.

Can you find that same bone in Gavin Newsom's body, or LA Mayor Kathy Bass, or Kamala Harris? Can you find it in Eric Swalwell, or Nancy Pelosi? If you were to search through their actions, can you honestly find where these Californian leaders have done something to truly and honestly help the people?

Probably not, because these aren't servants, they're politicians first. The people come second or even third. What comes first is power, money, and influence.

And because Californians never understood the difference, a solid chunk of them are watching their lives go up in smoke.

This is a teachable moment if I've ever seen one, and if Californians aren't willing to learn their lesson from this, then there isn't any hope for them.
