The Democrats are trying to take down their opponents with lawfare and you're suffering the consequences. 

That was at the heart of Eric Trump's speech in front of the courthouse where Donald Trump is currently on trial for what is clearly a politically motivated set of charges meant to make Trump a non-issue going into the 2024 elections. 

But it's not looking good for the Democrats. You can tell by their desperation and internal strife.

You can also tell by how they showed up and gave a presser (starring Robert De Niro) about the trial not far from the courthouse, effectively confirming this is all political. 

A lot of speeches were given Tuesday, but the one that truly stood out came from Eric Trump, who gave a speech that not only highlighted how much of a sham this trial actually is, but how it's also being done at the expense and safety of New Yorkers. Moreover, he injected something of an emotional moment as he showered his dad with praise and admiration for standing tall as he's subjected to all this humiliation. 

"I sit here today as a son," Trump began. "Forget politics for a second."

Trump described how he watched as the entire New York DA's office sat in that courtroom giggling and laughing as his father endured the attacks. All this while New Yorkers suffered degradation, murder, and assaults. 

"You have a total degradation of New York state because the only thing that Alvin Bragg wants to do, the only thing that Letitia James wants to do is criminally prosecute Donald Trump, and they're doing it for one reason. They're doing it because they have a political vendetta, they're all funded by George Soros — that's what this is. This is political lawfare and it absolutely has to stop."

Trump described his father as he sat and endured the court proceedings and recalled how they impeached him once and tried a second time in D.C., went after his Supreme Court justices, and turned the DOJ and FBI against him. He noted that when none of that worked, they began going after his family, including himself, Don Jr., Lara, and even Barron when he was a young kid. 

Trump got down to brass tacks, making it clear that this is happening because Biden is losing so badly in the polls. 

"And this is their answer," he continued. "Go after him for $130,000."

Trump then said he wanted to apologize to the jury for this colossal waste of time and then thanked the NYPD who had to spare thousands of officers who had to go protect the courthouse from lunatics and protesters when they could be out protecting the people of New York. He also noted that this trial has cost New York taxpayers millions. 

"New York deserves so much better than this," he said. 

In the last 30 seconds, Trump spoke about his admiration for his dad's fortitude and perseverance through all of the nonsense stacked against him including a corrupt judge.

It's all been handed to the jury now. Soon, we'll know if they agree about this all being a nonsensical waste of time. 

No matter how you swing it, however, there's no denying this is all a politically charged witch hunt, and the fact that Democrats have sunk this low isn't surprising, but it's still disgusting.
