The Left Is Creating the Very People Who Will Bring Them Down

Nothing creates a Republican like a Democrat.

This phrase is something I’ve been repeating a lot lately, especially since news came in that over 1 million people have swapped their voting allegiances from “D” to “R” over the past year.

The Democrats are bleeding out from assaults on their own party. All Republicans have to do is sit back and wait as their opposition party becomes more and more anemic. That red wave coming at America due to the midterms primarily consists of Democrat mistakes.

These mistakes aren’t even just the typical political blunder. These are focused attacks on people and things America loves. One of the latest ones was focused on comedian Dave Chappelle who is consistently attacked by the radical left that comprises the LGBT activist community.

As RedState previously covered, a venue called “First Avenue” canceled Chappelle’s show at the last minute due to the pressure and intimidation brought against it by LGBT activists. This included an apology by the venue posted to social media.

This in turn caused Chappelle to fire back. As Jim Thompson noted, Chappelle isn’t holding back with this disdain for transgender activists, calling them “lunatics.”

And he’s not wrong. The transgender activist community, in particular, is a special breed of ridiculous. For a good long while they held sway over all of society, turning normal people with good intentions into social pariahs for so much as stepping one foot out of line. This includes your truly, who had a gig taken away from him at a popular cultural website.

But while the cancelation at First Ave might be something of a win for the transgender activist community, it’s only short-term. In fact, in the grand scheme of things, this is a pyrrhic victory.

While the show did go on at a different venue, First Ave can now only be looked at as that place that caved to cancel culture and many consumers will now avoid it. It’ll just be one more thing ruined by the radical left’s inability to allow free expression, and an example of their consistent quest to silence anyone and anything they don’t like. What’s more, it’s become such a common tactic from the left that it’s not being recognized as the result of the few extremists within the party. This is the norm, not the exception for the left.

The left cut itself in two ways here. First, it created an even greater enemy out of Chappelle, who is one of the most (if not the most) influential comedians of our time. What he says on stage sways the opinions of millions of people at a time.

Then there’s the group of people who saw what happened to Chappelle and the failure of First Avenue to stand up for what is right and become angry and frustrated. Moreover, they begin to wonder how long it will be until a cancel culture comes for them.

What happens when normal people begin to push back against it? When they begin to know their enemy, they don’t just see these activists, they see this radical sentiment being embraced by the left as a whole. Even the establishment bows to it. When it all hits home they no longer see any reason to support the left. They migrate elsewhere, namely to the right, where they see people laughing at jokes and having fun all while still embracing reality and common sense.

The left is creating their own enemies day after day and with moments just like this.

It’s proof that the left fundamentally misunderstands Americans. They want to rule through fear and intimidation, but Americans are rebellious by nature. It was only going to end with being defeated by the very people they set out to enslave.
