Want the Nation to be Safer From Our Enemies?

With Russia threatening some serious backlash if the U.S. interferes and the threat of China getting nasty over Taiwan, the idea has popped into the heads of many that we may be faced with an invasion scenario. Personally, I’ve been asked if anything like that could or would happen.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? Not really.

I doubt that would happen. It would be very complicated to pull one off and besides, why do that when turning off the power grid in various major cities in America would trigger a string of events that would end in Americans killing each other off?

But that’s another article.

Let’s say it does happen. Let’s say the head of the CCP, Chinese President Xi Jinping, decides one day that he wants to send his troops onto American soil and we have a Red Dawn scenario. America is caught off guard by communist troops landing on the beaches, parachuting in from the air, and activating sleeper cells suddenly spring to life within our own communities.

If you’re an enemy general, you’re likely going to target weaker areas to take over first. The question is, what would you consider weaker areas?

There’s an unsubstantiated quote that attributed to Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Japanese Imperial Navy during WWII. On the prospect of invading the American mainland with his own troops, Yamamoto is claimed to have said that he wouldn’t because the prospect is impossible thanks to Americans and their love of firearms.

“You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass,” he allegedly said.

If you’re one of Xi’s military leaders, you’d probably agree with that sentiment. The American military would be enough to contend with, but a guerilla militia of U.S. citizens with firearms, who knows their streets, alleyways, shop interiors, and more is a scary prospect. A handful of rifle-bearing American citizens who are even a little competent could pose a serious problem to troop movements, supply chains, and troop morale. It’s hard to stay positive when random attacks that you can’t see coming keep you up at night.

So you’re Xi’s general and you’re tasked with setting a staging ground to begin your attack on America. What do you do?

You turn to places where you know Democrats have a very firm grip on the area. You know that the leftist leaders of the nation have done a very good job of making out firearms to be a dangerous plague to the American people and voters who have been fooled into this kind of thinking will elect these leaders who then enforce anti-gun laws. You know that the only real threat to you is likely the local police force which is not equipped to handle an invading army while keeping the peace.

Your priority would be to land your troops in these areas and have them establish footholds in American territory. The vast majority of the population there wouldn’t be a threat and could easily be rounded up and imprisoned or, at the very least, martial law would be much easier to enforce. Your troops wouldn’t have to worry about kicking down a door and being greeted with a hail of gunfire.

The chances of America being invaded are low, but never zero. If you want to be sure that you’ll never have a Chinese soldier knocking on your door then get yourself a rifle and/or a handgun. If it works to make your house safer, it can work to make your community safer. If it can work to make your community safer, it can work to make your town safer.

It’s just pure logic.
