Voter ID cards are a very simple solution to a very contentious problem yet the Democrats seem to believe that people having to prove they can legitimately vote in their community is the epitome of evil. They toss around accusations of racism and accuse anyone of pushing the idea of not caring about the most vulnerable communities in America.

Numbers have proven that voter ID does nothing of the sort, as voter ID implementation showed no real change in minority community voting habits. In fact, in 2018, black turnout surged after voter ID laws were enacted.

We can easily assume that what the push against voter ID really is, is Democrats attempting to make it easier to corrupt the process. Democrats deny this wholeheartedly, but the numbers don’t lie. Still, Democrats claim that the will of the people is that no voter ID laws should be enacted and that people just need to stop being racist.

I regret (not really) to inform them that they’re wrong. New poll results say the opposite, and by a huge margin.

According to a new Monmouth Poll, some 80 percent of Americans are in favor of requiring photo ID in order to vote. What’s more, before Democrats blame that on Republicans, they should know that the majority of Democrats want it as well:

Support for requiring a photo ID to vote stands at 62% among Democrats, 87% among independents, and 91% among Republicans.

The poll also has some other bits of information. The majority of people want early voting made easier, but only Democrats want mail-in voting to be made easier as a majority:

Only Democrats back making voting by mail easier to do, with 84% supporting this idea compared to just 40% of independents and 26% of Republicans.

What’s emerging is a pattern about voter ID laws. Back in April, Rasmussen found that the majority of black voters don’t believe voter ID laws discriminate against them at all. In fact, some people in the black community were insulted by the idea that they couldn’t or wouldn’t be able to get one.

If the left was hoping they would be able to play the race card to avoid implementing voter ID laws, then it looks like they’re out of luck. If they were hoping on voter support, it looks like they’re out of luck there too. Voter ID laws are desired in order to keep elections fair and safe.

If they aren’t, then they aren’t really elections.
