California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters has a message to anyone criticizing her over literally attempting to encourage people to riot in the event Derek Chauvin doesn’t get a first-degree murder conviction, and it’s that you’re in league with white supremacists.

As we’ve previously covered, Waters went to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where she said that if Chauvin doesn’t get the conviction that the left wants, then rioters should escalate things. Over the course of last summer, Black Lives Matter riots destroyed, burned, looted, and even murdered all around the United States. Waters encouraging this to continue isn’t just irresponsible, it’s evil.

Waters decided to defend her words on Monday during an interview with theGrio, who claimed that the GOP was attempting to send messages to the KKK and other white supremacists and was blowing her words out of proportion.

“Republicans will jump on any word, any line and try to make it fit their message and their cause for denouncing us and denying us, basically calling us violent … any time they see an opportunity to seize on a word, so they do it and they send a message to all of the white supremacists, the KKK, the Oath Keepers, the [Proud] Boys and all of that, how this is a time for [Republicans] to raise money on [Democrats] backs,” Waters said.

“This is a time for [Republicans] to keep telling our constituents that [Democrats] are the enemy and they do that time and time again,” Waters added. “But that does not deter me from speaking truth to power. I am not intimidated. I am not afraid, and I do what needs to be done.”

Are Republicans making a bigger deal out of what she said that it needs to be? Let’s take a look at what she said.

“We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business,” Waters said

Waters knows just as well as we all do what these rioters have done while they’ve been on the streets. The wreckage and broken lives they’ve left behind speak for themselves. CNN couldn’t even hide the chaos as they reported that all was well in front of a burning building, and despite their loyalty to the BLM movement, they were still attacked and chased out by rioters.

Why would you encourage them to get more active? Why would you encourage them to get more confrontational?

Why would anyone condone this kind of rhetoric knowing full-well what it will lead to at this point?

People who are criticizing Waters for what she said aren’t the KKK. They’re not racists. They’re not white supremacists. They’re regular Americans who know right from wrong and don’t want to see more riots burning down more neighborhoods, many of them black neighborhoods.

What Waters is doing is haphazardly tossing around buzzwords in hopes that one of them will stick. She’s sensationalizing responses to paint any opposition to her as pure evil so she can continue to spout pure evil.

Waters should be, at the very least, censured. At best, she should be kicked out of Congress.
