George Takei has always been a pretty angry leftist willing to say bizarre or hateful things to Republicans, but now he’s openly wishing for the severe injury or death of one of them.
On Saturday, Florida Senator Marco Rubio tweeted out that he was so confident in the COVID-19 vaccine that he took it himself, even putting a picture of himself with it.
I know I looked away from the needle
And yes, I know I need a tan
But I am so confident that the #Covid19 vaccine is safe & effective that I decided to take it myself pic.twitter.com/TQbog6fu7i

Takei responded by publicly tweeting out that while allergic reactions to the vaccine are rare, he hopes Rubio has one.
“There are very, very few instances of known allergic reactions to the Covid-19 vaccine, but Marco Rubio has always thought of himself as one in a million so there’s still hope,” he tweeted.

Yet another example of the Democrats and their “unity.”

The tweet was largely received negatively, with Twitter users from both sides of the aisle condemning the Star Trek actor’s hatefulness. As of this moment, the tweet is still up on Twitter and Takei hasn’t issued an apology or tried to walk it back.
You can strongly disagree with someones policies without wishing them a painful death.
It's actually even more effective in convincing the world that your argument is stronger.
It's sad that this has to be said periodically on Twitter, but here we are nevertheless.

The US Left wishing death on the US Right, while simultaneously thinking of themselves as the good guys, is very on brand.

Wishing ill on another is low. 😷

I really liked you in Star Trek. You've disappointed me since then. Repeatedly. I guess I should only expect actors to act well and nothing more. I hope you can change for the better.

This is yet another example of what happens when celebrities bubble themselves in their own culture. Takei believes that wishing harm on someone just for a difference in political or religious views is okay because he’s been convinced that people like Rubio truly are evil.
Leftists like Takei believe themselves to be the good guys as they wish evil on others thanks to this bubbling as well. It would appear that Takei doesn’t even see his actions as evil as he continues to morally grandstand on his Twitter.
If this is the kind of “unity” the Democrats want then I can say with some measure of confidence that this is going to be the most divisive and violent unity the world has ever witnessed. If the left has this much hatred in its heart that it believes in visiting evil on innocent people who merely disagree with them politically as a moral good then this is going to be a very nasty next four years.
