Trump Derangement Syndrom hasn’t been officially recognized by any official body of psychiatry, but the blinding rage around the presence of President Donald Trump can’t be denied. The left’s anger about Trump has driven to do some very stupid things, including wishing a hurricane would destroy an entire area just to spite him.
Hurricane Dorian has already been claiming lives, but at one point, many on the left considered it a solid trade-off so long as Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach was demolished by the high winds and floodwaters.
This includes a now-deleted tweet from former Prime Minister of Canada, Kim Campbell, who said she was rooting for the hurricane to hit Trump’s resort.
Former PM Kim Campbell is a senior aide to Justin Trudeau, in charge of Supreme Court appointments. She’s gone full Westboro Baptist Church, cheering for the death of Americans — and @realDonaldTrump in particular. Trudeau knows, and he’s fine with it. https://t.co/UR7H9kCIEl pic.twitter.com/895w0HHwOm

She wasn’t alone. People have been rooting for Mar-A-Lago to get hit by Dorian since the hurricane appeared. It’s veered off now, and people have expressed disappointment.
Dorian you dumb f*ck. We said park on Mar-a-lago. Not Freeport.

Tell me I’m not the only person hoping Hurricane Dorian turns for Mar-a-lago, his Jupiter & Palm Beach clubs, then goes back out to sea to disperse victorious.

Golf, he's more freaking worried about golf. I really wish Dorian would take out Mar a Lago. https://t.co/H4GRgPBx95

#Dorian @thegoodgodabove. If you are real prove it by wiping Mar-a-lago off the map. Or is this a job for @s8n

And we ALL wished DJT was there when Mar-a-Lago got smacked by Dorian…. https://t.co/gqTrBapqrm

People either seem to forget or at least don’t care about the fact that Mar-A-Lago isn’t the only thing in the area. The TDS has them focused on one thing, and one thing only, and that’s their hatred for Trump and their wish that only the worst things befall him.
Living in Palm Beach and the surrounding area is a ton of innocent people, including the family of actor Allen Covert, who took to Twitter and slammed those cheering for Dorian to strike.
“My family lives about 10 miles from Mar-a-Lago so all of you people cheering the fact that Dorian might wipe it out can kindly go fuck yourselves. You have sunk so low in your hatred that you have become worse than what you hate,” tweeted Covert.

Sadly, some people responded by justifying their wish in the face of destruction and death of innocents or at least mocking Covert’s anger.
When he was elected by a minority, and no one sees high crimes and misdemeanors, forgive me for praying for relief

No one is worse than Trump… Remember that

It should be comforting to know that the overwhelming response to Covert was positivity, prayers, and a denouncement of all those who were wishing for Dorian to destroy the area.
It’s ridiculous that many of these people are so blinded by their hatred that they don’t stop to think that the resort is insured, and will be rebuilt in no time. Many people that would be hit by the storm wouldn’t have such luxuries and would be in a position no one wants to be in with their homes destroyed and businesses likely suffering the same fate.
This perfectly highlights how ridiculous the hatred for Trump has gotten and how bad our rhetoric as a nation has sunken. Politics seems to have brought out the worst in so many people.
