According to the LA County Sherriff’s department, the hospitalized individual was shot in the arm. The shooter has been identified as a young Hispanic male.

Update Regarding Highland High School in Palmdale:

1 victim shot in the arm at Highland High School. At local hospital now. stable condition.

1 Firearm recovered.

1 Subject detained, and is a Male Hispanic Juvenile.

According to NBC, one man is in custody. They also report that one person is currently hospitalized. There are no reports on the details of either the shooter or the hospitalized individual.

Another high school shooting has apparently happened, this time in California.

According to Fox News, Palmdale Sheriff’s report shots fired at Highland High School.

According to tweets coming from students at the high school, the shooter is a student.
