President Donald Trump slammed Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) on Thursday during an interview with The Blaze's Glenn Beck. The Texas congresswoman has raised her profile with a consistent stream of interviews, late-night television appearances, and viral moments. 

Whether that's a good thing for the Democratic Party is the question, and I'm having a hard time believing her faux "from the streets" persona and ridiculous attacks are doing anything but alienating Americans. As RedState reported, she recently called Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas, who is a paraplegic, "Governor Hot Wheels" while spewing a grammatically incorrect mess.

CROCKETT: “So we out in deez hot *** Texas streets, honey. Y’all know we got governor hot wheels down there. Come on now, and the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot *** mess, honey.”

As an aside, it should be noted that Crockett's entire "from the streets" personality was completely manufactured for political gain. She spoke far more eloquently when she was first running for office, and contrary to the perception of hardship she wants to create, she grew up wealthy. Crockett attended the most expensive private school in St. Louis before going to Rhodes College in Memphis. No part of her background dictates an inability to use basic grammar. It's all an act.

Crockett did not grow up poor, she did not grow up in the "hood," and she did not speak the way she speaks now until a few years ago when she decided it would endear her to a certain segment of the political left. Everything about her screams inauthenticity. That's why her becoming the freshest new face of the Democratic Party is such a boon to Republicans.

TRUMP: It's just so bad. Their policy is so bad. You know, they're great at cheating, and they're great at certain things, but they are so bad on policy, they're so far off. When I watched them trying to prosecute the same things that just lost an election in a landslide on, and they're still going through the same things. It's just crazy, and they don't know who their leaders are. They have a new one, Crockett. Have you seen Crockett? Have you ever seen her talk? This is going to be their leader? 

BECK: I hope she's the next candidate for president.

TRUMP: Well, we can hope in one way, but in another way, it's pretty demeaning. It's demeaning to our country. You don't see anybody out there.

What Trump is speaking to is the leadership vacuum in the Democratic Party, which opens the door for loudmouth imbeciles like Crockett to fill the void. Is that really who they want fronting their messaging going forward? That would be less than ideal, in my view. Yet, Democrats are so beholden to their intersectional ideology that no one can tell Crockett to back off without being accused of being a racist. Heck, Trump will probably get accused of racism just for bringing up how she speaks (which again, is completely fake). 

The Democratic Party is listless at the moment, and those stepping up to steer the ship are only going to run it further aground. It's not just Crockett, who is bad enough, but you've also got Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) doing a national tour with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in what is a clear setup for a 2028 presidential campaign. Meanwhile, whatever sane Democrats are left are going to face primary challenges from the likes of David Hogg, who may end up losing his leadership role within the DNC because he'd rather burn things to the ground than play team ball. 

So yeah, things aren't looking up for the Democratic Party.
