Democrats aren't taking the election of President Donald Trump well, and the meltdowns keep getting more hilarious if you're a conservative. That's especially true if you tune into MSNBC, which you shouldn't, which is why I'm here to give you the gut-busting highlights.
The Trump administration's shutdown of USAID has been the most recent point of hysteria, with Democrats gathering in front of the building on Tuesday to have Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) chant, "We will win." Meanwhile, their allies in the press have not been any more measured. That evening, Jen Psaki went on a wild rant claiming that Elon Musk and Trump are executing a "hostile takeover of the government."
Look at the eyes. You can always see it in the eyes.

PSAKI: Because what's happening right now is a hostile takeover of the U.S. government. There's no other way to describe it. It's happening clearly across our justice system where just a few hours ago, a deadline passed for FBI employees to fill out a questionnaire detailing their involvement in January 6th cases. In other words, they were asked to fill out basically a loyalty test. That comes after an unprecedented purge of the FBI on Friday night when the Trump administration forced out top FBI career officials, multiple FBI field office leaders, and a number of DOJ prosecutors who worked on January 6th cases.
I love the hand-wringing here because it's just so absurd in the face of the last four years. Democrats want you to believe that it's improper for the elected President of the United States to reform an agency he controls after officials weaponized its power to try to throw him in jail. Is what Trump is doing a "loyalty test?" You're dang right it is because the executive branch can not function if accountability stops at the doorstep of the bureaucratic state. Elections have consequences, and hiding behind the label of "career official" as a way to avoid those consequences doesn't work anymore.
Americans voted for change across the board. They did not vote to keep left-wing priorities ensconced within various previously unaccountable bureaucratic agencies. Psaki's commentary encapsulates the Democrat mindset that even when they lose, they should win. That's not how any of this works.
PSAKI: It's not just law enforcement where there is a hostile government, hostile takeover of the government...This takeover is also happening at the direction of his unelected, best friend Elon Musk.
Did you catch that? According to Democrats, the problem with Elon Musk being appointed to reform government agencies is that he's "unelected." You know, because all those bureaucrats Psaki wants to protect were elected. Oh wait, no, they weren't. Again, you see the hypocrisy and double-speak illustrated. Democrats want unelected officials to run the U.S. government right up until the moment it threatens their policy initiatives. Funny how that works.
PSAKI: His latest target was the United States Agency for International Development, and that agency not only leads on humanitarian assistance around the world but also works to combat corruption in foreign aid programs. It's a big part of what they do. I kind of see how that could make Elon Musk a bit uncomfortable. So, what do you think he did? You may already know. Well, he removed two of the top leaders of the organization who wouldn't do his bidding over the weekend and then overnight, last night, employees received an email ordering them not to come into the office today. They weren't given a reason or any sort of rationale.
Claiming that USAID existed to root out corruption while it was handing out grants for Moroccan pottery classes and transgender operas is gaslighting of the highest order. Regardless, those two "top leaders" had no right to remain under a new administration, nor were the employees entitled to "a reason or any sort of rationale."

I highly encourage Democrats to continue down this road. It is incredibly out of touch to spend time white-knighting for government employees and grants for DEI in Serbia while ignoring real problems that Americans care about. Republicans will gladly consolidate their position as the party of normal, working-class people.
