On Saturday afternoon on a sunny day in Pennsylvania, the unthinkable happened. Minutes after Donald Trump took the stage for a political rally, shots rang out, and the former president dropped to the ground.
Live footage showed blood pouring from his ear as he was escorted off by Secret Service, pumping his fist in the air to let the crowd, and the world know that he had survived. Trump could be seen mouthing the word "fight" in defiance of the attempt on his life.

For those who are sane, it was a moment of resilience and a perfectly reasonable response in the face of such a heinous act. For the press, it was something else.
CNN's Jamie Gangel attacks Trump for saying "Fight! Fight! Fight!" after someone tried to murder him.

Literally, she complains about what he did 5 seconds after he was shot
"That's not the message that we want to being sending right now. We want to tamp it down" pic.twitter.com/GHhU2lLI2Z
"We want to tamp it down," proclaims the same press that has spent years comparing Trump to Hitler and insisting that the Republicans will end democracy in the United States if they win elected office. Notable is that no one on CNN ever expressed that opinion when Joe Biden made this post.
Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation.

He's a threat to our freedom. He's a threat to our democracy. He's literally a threat to everything America stands for.
How dishonest and disgustingly partisan is the mainstream press? So much so that they refused to acknowledge the assassination attempt long after it was clear what had happened. The headlines were simply astonishing, citing "loud noises" and declaring that Trump had fallen during a rally.
Someone tries to assassinate the presumptive GOP candidate for president. And behold, your media:

CNN: “Trump falls”
NBC: “popping noises” pic.twitter.com/xeYRAlWFrM
In one incredible example, the Indianapolis Star declared that Trump had simply been "startled" by "loud noises." Keep in mind that the assassination attempt happened live, with immediate video footage showing the sounds of the gunshots and the former president being shot along with a man standing behind him.

Then there was Margaret Brennan of CBS News, long known for her insane left-wing bias. She and her variety of guests truly took the cake for the most insane reactions of the night. If you ever thought the press couldn't go lower than they've already gone, prepare to have that notion corrected.
On CBS, Margaret Brennan and Samantha Vinograd talk up "retaliatory violence" from right-wingers, and then we hear of January 6. Knew this line was coming.... pic.twitter.com/JO9572UlXn

Reminiscent of when Islamists commit terror attacks and then the press immediately worries about "Islamophobia," Brennan was more worried about non-existent "retaliatory violence" by Republicans than the actual assassination attempt that had just occurred. Bringing up January 6th was also just ridiculous. An attempt to murder a leading presidential candidate is a far worse attack on American democracy than a short-lived riot where no participant fired a shot at anyone.
That was just Brennan's warm-up, though. After bringing on CBS News' Robert Costa, she began demanding that Republicans "take the political temperature down," still having not once cited the left-wing rhetoric that undoubtedly incited the shooter. You see, the problem isn't the bullet that nearly took Trump's head off. The problem is that you are mad about it.
CBS's Robert Costa complains "Trump supporters on social media tonight are extremely angry" at the assassination attempt, lamenting "this is still a politically charged moment".

Later in the broadcast, Brennan then lectured into the camera about possible retaliation again, rhetorically wagging her finger her way through a rant about wanting "no part" of inspiring violence. All the while, she had still yet to acknowledge that Democrats almost certainly inspired the violence she was reporting on.

is something we are reporting...as a historic event...We are very mindful that this kind of event can inspire violence, it can inspire retaliation, and we want no part of that." #TrumpAssassinationAttempt pic.twitter.com/FOpk9Q3B9U
Would you believe me if I told you it got worse? Brennan later brought on Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who survived an attempted assassination committed by a Bernie Sanders supporter in 2017. She then proceeded to demand that he "rein in some of the rhetoric." She then suggested that any connection of the shooting to the Biden administration's inflammatory statements was out of bounds.

If CBS News had any integrity, they'd take Brennan off the air after that performance. If not by firing her, at least through a suspension. That won't happen, though, and the press will continue to disgrace themselves going forward.
